WTB- Dodge Rampage...HELP MM!! - Jeff - 08-20-2006

Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a decent condition Dodge Rampage as a winter daily at school. The Sebring is not a winter duty car and the Daytona isn't much of one either, if it ever gets done... Anyway, the car must be clean and as rust free as possible. If it is rusted on the bottom, fine, but no rusted out windsheilds or beds. I would like an 84 but beggers cannot be choosers. Auto or manual, does not matter. Basically any running Rampage (or Plymouth Scamp) you can come accross. Just keep me in mind when you are on craigslist or ebay and do a seach or two for me.

Thanks,
Jeff

And yes...I would...

Maybe that came off wrong. I have only seen like one maybe two in my lifetime. I tend to think they are super rare and hard to find. But maybe since you are a Dodge Dealer you have special pull.

There are three on e-bay right now, but they are either junk, or too far away. There is one in WV that is MINT that came from our dealership. The owner used to work there. But something makes me thing he will not part with it. They can be had in good shape for under $1500 you just need to find one you like. Around here, one with normal VA rust and a ok running engine (all are Carb) should be about $600. I just want people to keep their eyes open so if one comes up in good shape at a good deal I can snap it up.

Also, I would be interested in any Turbo SWB vans.

Just get an old 4WD 4 banger 'Yota pickup Jeff. You're not going to find a more reliable winter driver with good utility for picking up / transporting car parts and such.

I just wanted to remind people of this post I made in the GRM forum,

Well, you have to admit, that your idea of 'cool' differs from most Wink

My comment stands.

wierd that you want one of these.. my best freinds machinist has one of these and this weekend we were both commenting on how weird, ugly, wack the car was. ill see if he wants to sell it and get some details.. its black with red grafics

- Jeff - 08-21-2006

Prolly a Scamp GT...they are uglier then most of them. They were black and red, the interior was black with red stripes on the seats.

wow, that's like the bastard child of a Conquest and small pickup truck.

i have nothing useful to contribute .

- Ginger - 08-21-2006

BRAT, anybody?

On an off note, since I also have nothing useful, I think an El Camino would make an awesome motorcycle hauler.

- BLAIR - 08-21-2006

ah the BRAT. any trucklet with plastic, rear facing jump seats complete with handlegrips and freaking t-tops is nothing less than a modern classic....

for me to poop on!

maybe we could paint out the T and call it the BRA, or the BRO?

Jeff, The Hate is especially strong in you lately. What's up?

- Jeff - 08-25-2006

LOL! I love MM. It really is a big family. It seems that every time I say something negative on the forum I get a PM or a post asking if I am ok, or if everything is alright. Do I seem unstable? I appreciate you asking, but I am ok. I just thought everyone knew a Rampage is a Bastard of a small truck and a CHARGER! That and I am slowly growing more cynical about forum posting...it comes from turbododge.com.

wait a second... Lately? Where else have I been hating!
