ATTN: Hax0rs - HAULN-SS - 08-06-2006

I cant find anything on the internet to strip DRM off WMA files. Does such a program exist? I want something that can preferably do batch conversions to MP3, .WAV...whatever. I can do it a painfully slow and long way..but that sucks. Every software I can find that converts from WMA to another format cant do it because of DRM. K thx.

- CaptainHenreh - 08-06-2006

That's what the DRM is for.

- HAULN-SS - 08-07-2006

Clearly.

- CaptainHenreh - 08-07-2006

Have you tried the box network?

- JohnC - 08-07-2006

You should apply the analog loophole.

- HAULN-SS - 08-07-2006

I already have, but that takes for freaking ever. I want a way to do batch conversions mostly. And, no I hadnt tried the box network, good thinking.

get an application called tunebite.

- Dave - 08-07-2006

have you tried a tune transmogrifier?

- Feersty - 08-07-2006

Is your flux capacitor up to date?

mp3.box.sk

If you're ever looking to do something, erm, off the grid, the box network is the first place you should look.

Yeah. I used to use it all the time, astalavista that is, but it seemed to have went downhill in recent years, so I quit using it most of the time

astalavista has gone downhill, but that doesn't mean that the entire box network has. Alot of the other box domains are still a good source for information. Astalavista was destined for failure from day one. A site for shady software from shady characters for shady purposes by shady characters? Yeah, that'll last. The other sites seem a little more legitimate.

I still know a bunch of cracking sites offhand from my er, cracking days =p

PM me if you want a few of the best ones if they would help you.

So, uh, after spending a few days doing some research - it basically boils down to hax0rs intercepting the key request by the software to Microsoft to use in an RSA style scheme. Hax0rs break the level of RSA currently being used, using software to intercept and simulate the response, sent back to the WMA playing software, which thinks it got the right key, and opens the file. Seems simple enough - just a matter of time for someone to break the WMA10 level encryption currently being used, which, I'd suppose is just a matter of time, and may even take a gander at myself. Some japanese hackers supposedly have just finished up the WMV format, but not WMA. Sounds like a challenge - which is why I havent been able to find smething ready-made on the interweb that doesnt involve playing back through the sound card.

download TotleRecord ( i think its called ) it will capture audio data straight from your audio card and record it to a .wav file.

speaker to microphone + Windows Sound Recorder = Already on your computer.

Simple, elegant, takes for ever.

ummm more like = garbage.

You dont even have to use the microphone - you can go to the recording control panel and select to output to stereo mix, and record from there. Same thing, but the signal never goes analog. This whole concept is painfully slow, which is why I was looking for another way
