Fuel filters for Turbo cars... - Jeff - 07-23-2006

So, I need an aftermarket fuel filter for the Daytona. What kind of gallons per hour flow rate, microns of filtration, etc. do I need? What brands are nice? I have a 244lph walbro fuel pump, super high flow injectors, AFPR, etc.

A filter isn't a filter??

I would think a $7 fram would do the trick.... am I 100% wrong on this?

Well, yes and no. I want a replaceable element filter that will help me keep tabs on how clean the fuel system is. I want something that will work with AN lines for the bling factor too. I could just get a 350Z filter, but that doesn't have the bling and it is larger then I would like.

I think the Walbros are supposed to come with their own filter, but I could be wrong because I bought my old one used.

No, thats not a good enough filter. Get an aeromotive 10 micron filter, replacable will work with AN lines. If you want something that flows well and filters well, a stock eclipse turbo fuel filter will go well, in fact most eclipse guys dont replace them except in extreme fuel cases.
