all that talk in the moto forums and then someone posted an ad at work today. they're selling their bike:
"2001 Suzuki SV650S. 7500 miles. New battery and tires. Blue, half faired bike is extremely reliable, cheap to fun and insure, gets 50MPG, and would serve equally well as daily commuter or track bike. $2200."

yeah, i was thinking of doing the same thing, but i want channing to buy it since it was so perfectly timed with all the other shit goin on in the moto forum. if he doesnt though, i may buy it and either sell it or perhaps join the dark side :twisted: (but probably sell it...)
also, i emailed him here at work and he responded. i'll summarize:
-garaged since he bought it
-serviced at Wayne Cycles in waynseboro but did oil/filter jobs himself
-dropped once (minor scuff marks on the left fairing) but in great mechanical condition
-new tires are dunlop 220 (sport touring) so not the stickiest, but good for daily commute
-custom $150 cover included

i emailed him back and asked for pics so i'll post them up when i get them. and screw you guys, you all have bikes (except evan) and besides, evan's expressed his anti 2 wheel stance in previous posts. chan specifically asked for a good starter bike and some of you seem to sing the praises of the SV. but if he doesnt want it, i might take the plunge and join you assholes on the dark side

so after being jerked around, he emails me not realizing that he had put $2200. he says he meant to post $3200 which makes a hell of a lot more sense. he told me that it was his mistake so he's willing to give it to me for $3k.

ps - some guy did that to me too when he advertised a brand new C/F Exhaust for $100 less than what he intended (in retrospect i should've bought it :hammer: )
