In...Duc just had 6K service and is ready to roll. - Apoc - 07-13-2006 Ross is a dirty liar. - Ross - 07-13-2006 Apoc Wrote:Ross is a dirty liar. Turns out you're right. I took the bike to get some gas today and as soon as I filled it up, it started acting up again. I don't know what to do about this, aside from never putting more than 2 gallons in it. - Apoc - 07-13-2006 Does it have a petcock? Maybe the weight of the fuel combined with the atmospheric pressure of an open tank is somehow flooding the engine? I'm grasping, I know. edit: Google may have saved your ass... I have had some "flooding" problems when refilling the fuel tank. Apparently one must be very careful not to fill the tank even remotely close to the internal baffle tube, or you will experience some overflow from a vent hose and poor running until about a quart of fuel is used. http://whitetrash.com/mo/mccompare/bikini_bbs.html - .RJ - 07-13-2006 Ross Wrote:Turns out you're right. Gotta be in the Northern Neck no later than 5pm for my cousin's wedding and it's a 3+ hour drive from NoVA. - Ginger - 07-14-2006 Dragon Wrote:Depending on if I get all my stuff moved in and setup Fri night, and what time this ride would be over I'm tentative. I'll probably have to drive to VA Beach, as well, so a reasonable return time is good, and usually happens - Dragon - 07-14-2006 asteele2 Wrote:Gotcha, well this might work then.Dragon Wrote:Depending on if I get all my stuff moved in and setup Fri night, and what time this ride would be over I'm tentative. His name's probably Ramon. Bike is at the shop, but I told them to clear it w/me before they touched anything. I'll probably just ride it tomolo as is. - Ginger - 07-14-2006 I'm 99% sure it does have a petcock, just not one you turn off every day like older bikes. My friend had a YZF600 that you must use a long blade screwdriver to turn the petcock with. Just a thought. I think it's an overfilling issue, though, like mentioned before. - Evan - 07-14-2006 Dragon Wrote:OOOOH yeah. . . oopsie.I dont know any little turkish dudes..... - .RJ - 07-14-2006 If any of y'all want to meat at my house to head out (Ross, Mike) then I'm leaving at 10:45. - Mike - 07-14-2006 i'm there. anybody happen to have one of those little battery square things that go in the terminals? i'm missing one, but can borrow one of g's in the meantime. nevermind, found it. - Dragon - 07-14-2006 Evan Wrote:Oh fine, short turkish dude.Dragon Wrote:OOOOH yeah. . . oopsie.I dont know any little turkish dudes..... - Mike - 07-14-2006 where is kaan? why isn't he coming? kaan, i'll come get you! |
