List of bitchass inspection stations - l33t Mr2 - 06-29-2006
By none shady I mean PITA inspection stations or ones that you should not go to..
1. Jenkins Tire In Waynesboro
failed for: ABS sensor (I don't have ABS... they didnt believe me)
and no CAT.
2. Whitmens Downtown H-Burg next to Napa auto parts
Failed for: Suspension being to tight (They said it had "no" give and asked if i choped my springs... I run KYB AGX on lowest setting w/ eibach sportlines)
3. Blueridge Auto Center on rt 33. next to papa johns.
Failed for: Car being to low
You can add to the list.. I will have more to come 2maro when i countinue the suspections woes...

dude.. put your damn cat back on and go pass.. 3 stations.. thats already 45 bucks of wasted money.. put it back on and take it back to the original station that failed you for no cat. it may be a pain but otherwise you are just wastin your time unless you got a hookup

BUT I AM FAILING NOT FOR THAT
i am failing for.. "MY CAR BEING TOO LOW"
"ABS" WHICH I DO NOT HAVE...
and suspension being too "ungiving"
so i would have to install ABS, put stock suspension on, and put a cat on.. thats like 4 days work...
i have to leave for new jersey in the next 3 days or i lose my 2 jobs lined up...
sooo basically i am fucked.
not too mention an ABS i do not have and stock suspension which i do not have and cat i do not have... thats like mad $$$
you know how like people say "eventually my luck is going to run out" well... eventually my bad luck is going to run out.
some guy will think i am cute and pass me... or i sell my car.. for 7,000 to a lucky MM member

a $200 beater would be a dream.. i would give up this whole car thing and buy that and not even swap stickers.. i am getting so fed up with all the freaking bullshit. I get pulled over all the time.. on top of this LAME inspection... my car is fine... just pass it. jesus...

Take out your ABS bulb, put on your cat, and tune your KYB's to low.
Alot of shops might overlook one thing, but they won't overlook 3 or 4 things.

they are pointing at ABS sensors on my rear brakes.. my light is not on... but since it was an option on 93s i ahve the sensors.. just not the whole systems so they look at them and say... "if it doesnt work you dont pass. It has to work"
kybs on low... they still hate me.
i am suprised the dont fail me for my tires being to round, or not having 4 doors, or my engine being in the wrong spot.

if they give you stuff like car too low, ask them to show you on the VA State Police form it has that as a check. (the little pink slip)

Evan has a good point, I think in some states it is illegal to lower your car but I dont think VA is one of them. I used to get the Z passed at Monroes but its got a new crew in there now. You might still wanna try them though.
Take the general advice everyone is giving though, put a cat on.
