there are some damn good course riders at nesba that dont mind giving a helping hand.
now cornerspeed is more a school, but at 400 dollars for a one day track school thats a lot compared to 150/175

Again, you get what you pay for. Period. The cornerspeed/superbike schools offer a lot more than just a track day with instruction "available", but if its not worth it to you, dont do it. I'm going to do one of the two this fall.

Uh, let's not forget if you've taken a real riding course anywhere else you can sign up with Cornerspeed as just a track goer for only $185. I did 7 or 8 track days with them last year and I assure you I didn't pay $385 every time.
Cornerspeed also limits the field to 25 riders. NESBA, TPM, STT, and the rest will go upwards of 35. Makes a big difference when someone blows turn 4 and ends up with a parade of bikes behind them at North course.

See, when I said "parade" I meant more than one.
And it isn't that easy when you're at the ass end of the parade. I'm sporting a completely stock 600, I can't out throttle any other 600s or liter bikes, let alone 4 or 5 of them. And (sticking to this situation), sometimes you don't have the choice to roll off the throttle coming out of 4 so you can let some distance to grow and then go full speed through 5-6 so by the time you come out of the esses you're at full speed while they're still trying to ham fist the throttle because you may have a bike or two behind you that's going to make a pass on you and put you even farther back and quite possibly ruin your line. Typically, when I go into 4 stuck behind multiple bikes I won't get around the last one until T12 or T14.
Then again I'm a courteous passer because I'm not in the mood to cause anyone to panic and go run off course. I know others feel different about that because I've been stuffed going into a turn and subsequently returned that stuffing.

Steve - are you going there to do a track day, or to race?
If you're that worried about "getting around" people, why not pit in and give yourself plenty of space for open track?
I see this stuff in cars all the time... guy gets stuck behind a train of cars, gets a little red mist, and sticks themselves to the bumper of the car in front of them making all sorts of mistakes while trying to get a point-by.

Because there isn't a pit anywhere near turn 4. And at VIR North course the only place that requires close passing is 4-6 and 7-9, after that it's fair game. So I sit back and wait until until I'm not at those parts of the track and do it then.
But my point was, Cornerspeed limits the track to 25 people. TPM, STT, Nesba, and others will push upwards of 40 people depending on the track. With that many people, pitting in may not be a good solution either because there's pretty much going to be someone at every part of the track.
