VIR Video - .RJ - 04-29-2004 Pretty neat..... http://www.skipbarber.com/multimedia/VIR.mov - Evan - 04-29-2004 cool video. The captain obvious voice over is a little over simplified but is a good overview. That line through 3 definately blows though. Turning in from mid track? come on. If it was a compromise corner I would agree, but the small straight between 3 and 4 definately means you have to maintain speed. Other than that, the line is very similar to my miata line. That "shallow" hogpen line is pretty ballsy though. A little hot and you are off the track. Good defensive race line but im not so sure if its the fastest? (wasnt for me when I spent a whole weekend trying it) RJ thats the line I was talking about through rollercoaster (14) Carry enough speed so that it forces you track left, then use that extra track that you said wouldnt be needed for the next lefthander that formula dodge looks amazingly fun to drive though. Look how well it rotates and slides through t4 - ScottyB - 04-30-2004 yeah that baby looked very neutral indeed. that lefthander out of the uphill esses always makes my balls shrink, i guess because it looks like you should go in alot slower. it was also cool to see how much momentum he maintained through oak tree. any car where you can see the front suspension and wheels moving is coooool. oh yeah, what do you think he topped out at on the backstraight? its definitely harder to tell from a video but it didnt look that fast to me. would that be gear or drag limited? - .RJ - 04-30-2004 Yeah that hogpen line is a little odd... I dont think I would do that, It makes the entry sharper and its probably slower. I think his line into Oak Tree is what Jamie was talking about. - .RJ - 05-05-2004 http://www.routethis.net/video/vir-pobst-laps.wmv http://www.highrpm.net/video/vir01.mpg - Evan - 05-05-2004 damn I should have had Randy drive my car and take some video - .RJ - 05-05-2004 He would say "where's the gas pedal?"
- ButtDyno - 05-06-2004 Anyone have something similar but for Summit? My FATT is a month away.. john - Evan - 05-06-2004 john I have loads of Slummit video, but nothing online. do you have an FTP server? - GQROB - 05-06-2004 Some Summit video: http://www.negative-camber.org/jam149/v ... chive.html - Mike - 05-06-2004 keep this hush-hush or i kill you (and take it down): http://www.mjcomputer.net/files/in-car-vids/ - Evan - 05-06-2004 Nice compilation mike. Maybe Ill get mine up in a nice organized list like that someday :-p - Mike - 05-06-2004 I wish bandwidth was free
- Evan - 05-06-2004 cant you run a webserver off your NTC account? - Mike - 05-06-2004 That's what I used to do, but JMU has blocked incoming connections. - Evan - 05-06-2004 port 8080 ![]() verizon did the same thing, so I changed ports and it worked fine. Lost the server when i reformatted so whenever I get time Ill put it back up and serve all my track video. :burn: bandwidth :burn: we'll see how long it takes for verizon to catch on! lol - Mike - 05-06-2004 Yeah that worked at home on my cable (for a month until they caught on). But no incoming connections means no incoming connections, regardless of port. You've missed the good time this year on the JMU network...
- ButtDyno - 05-06-2004 MJ: I snagged the 2 summit vids, thanks ![]() john |
