Horrible automotive products people are actually selling - BLINGMW - 05-18-2006

I love these. Automotive products that should have never been invented, but a sinking feeling tells you someone is buying them right now. We all know about the tornado and electric fan "turbo" setups.... but a few I've seen lately crack me up, have any more to add? I guess these ones actually work, but WHY!?

"Push a button in your P.O.S and a small amount of
lubricant is injected onto your tires. You roll forward and
make sure the lubricant is all the way around your drive
tires. Then hit the gas and the smoke will pour from your
tires. It is that easy and everyone will wonder how it is
possible."

"VroomBox utilizes a powerful microprocessor to digitally recreate the sound of 15 different cars and fantasy vehicles, and play them through speakers under the car. It even includes special effects such as screeching tires and turbo blow-off valves that trigger automatically."

ÔÇ£Instead of paying $500-$700 to improve the exhaust sound with an aftermarket Cat Back why not pay $159 and make your RX-8 sound like a 71ÔÇÖ Hemi Cuda?ÔÇØ

- Goodspeed - 06-16-2006

I guess this could be put in here, depending on your point of view, but I think this is awesome...Nitrous Express N20 kit for RC Cars

Theres been a few ripoff compressed air "nitrous" kits for RC nitro cars before, but this seems more legit, especially since it comes from a trusted manufacturer. Now I just have to get a nitro RC car

- PDenbigh - 06-16-2006

That is awesome!

- Goodspeed - 06-17-2006

This has my vote for being the stupidest thing included with the car by a manufacturer...the turbo 4.9L Trans Am "turbocharged power boost" indicator. I still want the car though....

- BLINGMW - 06-18-2006

- BLINGMW - 05-09-2007

EMBEDDED ION TIRE VALVE STEM CAPS with NANO TECHNOLOGY

Gas Mileage Booster (GMB) Tire Valve Caps looks like a common valve stem cap but contain embedded mineral ions that have a dramatic effect on fuel economy, tire/brake performance and extended life, as well as improving overall vehicle ride. GMB Ion Technology modifies molecular vibration for a positive effect in heat energy dissipation. Increased gas & diesel economy, improved performance and handling, and extended tire life are among the benefits of using GMB. Testing on a range of passenger vehicles, light trucks, performance cars, and commercial vehicles has shown increases in fuel mileage of up to 25% and extended tire life/ brake life of up to 30%(dependent on vehicle type fuel use and driving conditions) results may vary. Test drivers and customers have indicated a marked improvement in road grip, reduction of tire and road noise, and a general smoothing of vehicle ride.

Wrong. Read the thread again, then talk. Mmk? Nobody said anything about 3.8 V6's.
