NoVa car oddities - Goodspeed - 05-07-2006

Well i'm up here in the DC area for a few days, and already have seen quite a few rare and interesting cars....

First I saw an FD RX7 that had its roof chopped off and had a custom convertible top in place, parked next to a tiny 60's Austin Mini....

Next I saw a complete VeilSide 350Z coming out of a Nissan dealership, had the whole body kit, wheels, and graphics of the original car

And today, I saw a white R32 GT-R in Merrifield, hauling down the road sounding great. I know theres a white one in Alexandria, I wonder if this was the same car...interesting how I saw a very rare and now illegal GT-R before I saw any form of Supra haha

I'm sure this is nothing to those of you who live up here, but this was an interesting two days for me 8)

i've seen more supra's in H-burg than i have here in nova.

the rarest car i've seen on the road here in northern va is a bright yellow Ferrari F50 and a grey RHD Skyline R32

there are some ballers with some serious money and connections in northern va

Yeah I didn't know I was going to be coming up here, kind of a spur of the moment thing. And today I saw a TT, so seeing a Skyline and Supra in the same day was pretty cool Big Grin Oh and I've literally seen about 20-25 E46 M3's since I've been up here...

those are f-ing hot

i like the new M-Coupe (hatch) and i can't wait till that comes out. I'm hoping my mom can convince the BMW dealership that it's for me so i can test drive it. That or i'll convince my mom to test drive it and for me to also test drive it. Big Grin

I want an M3. Sad

Bastard Nova kids.

- Feersty - 05-07-2006

Saw a orange Lamborghini Gallardo the other day. Saw the new M roadster and an E30 M3 with dirtyass rimz at BMW of Sterling and a new M5 at BMW of Fairfax. M3 is dime a dozen round these parts...

Nothing too rare though lately..

mmm testarossa this weekend along with an old aston martin v8 convertible, an austin healey, and a e-type drop-top.

I spotted an F40 on Rt. 7 outside of Purcellville about a week ago.

A doctor in town has a Panoz Esperante GTLM. Red, supercharged and beautiful.

- Jeff - 05-08-2006

I saw...well...nothing. Outside the 63' Chrysler 300 I drove the other day I haven't seen anything interesting in weeks.

- Goodspeed - 05-08-2006

On a side note, my parents rented a Chevy Uplander minivan to help move my stuff out of the dorm....tell me this doesn't look like a manatee...

Aaron Rinaca had talked about doing that A LOT. I wonder if it's him.... hmmmm.... Did you see who was driving it/where it was?

I didn't see who was driving it, but it was parked in the basement garage of an office building in McLean. It was a kind of pinkish-red in color, with chrome wheels
