Elkton Cruise Idea? - Ryan T - 04-29-2006
So from talking to a few people in Sheetz as well as some other friends I've come to hear that there is a decent cruising scene in Elkton (about 15 min from the burg). I know cruising might sound dumb, but honestly thats how I got my start in cars and its something I've always enjoyed. Would a few of you guys be interested in maybe takin the drive to elkton tomorrow evening and seeing what it looks like? Could be a good way to recruit people for the car show as well as maybe see some badass cars. Lemme hear your thoughts.

i have also heard about a decent scene in elkton.. a lot of hard core street racers with serious cars. Also we should check out stanton sometime.. i have gone down there a few times in the past 2 years.. they have a bog lot where tons of people hang out..kinda lame.. but its cars

Rockingham? Where? Staunton has died out some for unkown reasons. I got there every now and then and last few trips there where nothing.

Rockingham is the dorm across from the Days Inn and Chasers on Port Republic, next to the gas stations. Looks like a motel. We went over to Elkton, there wasn't too much, a lot of 5.0 Mustangs cruising around and some Civics, apparently we went too early. I had a great time, cruising on the highway there and back 8) We should look into doing this again next semester

You know there's a holler in Elkton that is still bigtime into white lightning, and (I've been told) WILL SHOOT at cars they don't recognize. When we did our community assessment thing in nursing we were warned not to wind up there, as there's one way in and that's the only way out, etc. On the other hand, there's supposed to be a great mustang shop in Elkton...maybe that's why there's so many 5-0s there. Anyone familiar with that shop??? Is it any good?
