not bad, i can dig me some EDM. plate looks a little crooked, no?

- Feersty - 04-26-2006

yes, the holes in the bumper were crooked to begin with. Looks like it was a rush job when the car was registered in a front plate requiring state.

- Sijray21 - 04-26-2006

it would look better on a european made car Tongue

looks good, but what are the cops going to say

- Feersty - 04-26-2006

We'll see what the cops say. I am a little leary.

- JustinG - 04-26-2006

can you register Euro plates? i figured you can re register plates antique plates why not a euro plate?

- Feersty - 04-26-2006

I saw a Mini Cooper the other day with Euro plates both front and back. Other cars I have seen with a VA plate in back and then the same numbers and letters on a custom euro plate up front. I like the novelty of it though.

- .RJ - 04-26-2006

I've never had a front plate on my cars. Dont sweat it.

- Andy - 04-26-2006

I've gotten ticketed 3 separate times.

- .RJ - 04-26-2006

Thats because you were DWA

- Evan - 04-26-2006

I got a ticket for it while parked in arlington, and another ticket while parked at the metr-oh

- .RJ - 04-27-2006

I got no explanation for that.

I've been pulled over for it, bugged about it when getting pulled over for speeding but never gotten a ticket.

The conversation usually goes like this:

Officer: Where's your front license plate?
RJ: In the garage
Officer: Why isnt it on your car?
RJ: bracket broke/Had body work done/etc
Officer: Hrmmm... ok.

- Maengelito - 04-27-2006

.RJ Wrote:Thats because you were DWA

yeah, i've gotten pulled for that a few times

Or you can say..this is a racecar!

OT: You still driving the teg on the street?

- Sijray21 - 04-27-2006

Feersty Wrote:OT: You still driving the teg on the street?

lol, HIGHLY doubt it

although if he wanted to run at the local street races they'll hear him coming about 10 miles away

i've been hasseled twice by H-burg cops about not having a front plate before. Since then i've had it on. No point in paying $50+ in fees for something so easily avoided.

- .RJ - 04-27-2006

Well the teg is still registered and insured.....

- Dave - 04-27-2006

I passed by a trooper sitting on the right side of the road one day in the supra when I wasn't driving with front plates. He pulled on the interstate, gunned it, passed me, and then fell back and pulled me over for no front plates. You really have to determine if it is worth running the risk.

I paid that ticket, and when I had the paintwork done on the front of the car I had the holes for the bracket filled so I can show that there is nowhere to mount a plate now

Ha, 5 pages of bullshit after I posted the same pics...Fwiw I have the VA plate back on the front. It was great for a week but I got tired after my coworkers kept coming up to me and telling me it was illegal..ugh

P.S. Saw a Volvo S40 today with Euro plates front and back "AD X XXXX"

You care way too much about what other people think. Check your ego (or inflate it, either way works) and do whatever the fuck you want.

- ScottyB - 05-01-2006

yeah, if you are paying for the plate, and don't mind the risk just drive with it. it looks good (i think), you just have to realize that you could get pulled over for it.

if you don't want to hear bad things about your car, make it look like everyone else's 8) just go easy on the fog lights.
