Time for new Tires..... - JustinG - 04-25-2006

ok, so the time has come for me to replace these bald ass tires, as soon as i get some money. Im open to suggestions, looking for a good sreet tire, my biggest concern is treadwear but i dont wanna sacrifice traction, i have enough traction problems as is. im looking to spend around $100 per tire, unless someone wants to chip in for me to get some michelines

BF Goodrich G-Force Sports. I use them as my track tire. TheyÔÇÖre good sticky tires but on track, they heat up pretty quick and start to slide a bit. I havenÔÇÖt driven on them much on the street but they seem pretty nice and it carries a 300 tread rating. Also most importantly, they are only ~75 bucks a tire. Fuzions seem to get good reviews but it poops on us smaller tire tires.

whered you get em for $75? tire rack has em for $95, or it could just be cause its a larger tire. How are they wearing???

i like my avon M550's. they are more street oriented but they're pretty darn sticky and the rain traction is retarded. plus, they're not very pricy IMO.

if i could do it again, i'd look at michy pilot exaltos, but at the time i didn't have the money for them.

i like the yokohama's actually, i had the regular H4's on a set of wheels a long time ago and was pleasantly surprised. They were more comfortable then sporty though.

i like my fuzions a lot. Rain tread is pretty good and they have pretty good dry traction too. I have them on the 240, SE-R, and supra, all of which see track and autoX time. They definitely aren't the best tires evAr, but for the price they make an awesome multi-purpose tire.

- JustinG - 04-25-2006

any other suggestions???

How many miles on them so far and how are they wearing? Any idea how long they will last?
