Starting a pool: When will Gerald finish his racecar? - Evan - 04-19-2006 Its been quite some time since the Doggfather of MM has turned a wheel in anger on track, and given the current state of his racecar, might still be some time before he does. So, since he is now residing in a big pimpin hizzouse with 2 car garage and plenty of parking, he is officially out of excuses, so to provide motivation and at the same time poke fun, Ive decided to start a pool. The rules are, the pool will be based on the month that his integra racecar is fixed, operable, goes to the track and operates properly for a full day. Doesnt have to be a w2w race, but it has to get through a whole day without any major mechanical problems that park the car, and it has to have all his intended parts on it (ie - ITA/H4 legal with new motor and new suspension) $10 for a month, starting in 2007. (although any bet before 2009 is well against the odds anyway) If angels descend from heaven and G puts the racecar on track in 2006, he gets the pool.  - JohnC - 04-19-2006 At this rate, you'll pay out the pool about the same time G starts collecting Social Security. I'll take July 2007. I've got faith. - BLINGMW - 04-19-2006 damn! Well I put him on track somewhere in 2007 as well, I'll have to check the schedule... do I get double payback or anything for being in the pre '09 group? Does it count if he tracks something other than the integra? - .RJ - 04-19-2006 BLINGMW Wrote:Does it count if he tracks something other than the integra? Nope! Evan, you also forget he's got a good engine and transmission, and all new suspension bits for the car as well. So it really a weekend, a set of tires and an annual tech inspection away from being able to drive on track Officially out of excuses! I am going to go way out on a limb and say October 2006. There's a NASA event @ summit. - G.Irish - 04-19-2006 So we have $20 so far? - Mike - 04-19-2006 he's going to race bikes instead, we've been over this. - Dragon - 04-19-2006 I'd put money in on this but he's a sneaky bastard. - white_2kgt - 04-19-2006 I don't bet, but, if he comes out TO A NASA RACE this year I'll give him $10. He must go though annual tech (not done by Kaan, only Grumpy!) but can still run HPDE if he wants. - G.Irish - 04-19-2006 $30! Woo hoo! And yes Matt I am a sneaky bastard . This last weekend I kicked game to a girl and didn't tell her my name period. She txt messaged me and called me the next day and she still didn't know my name till last night when I left a message and told her my name - Maengelito - 04-19-2006 i'm in. i'll take oct 2007. damn chapin for taking july. that month has two events. - Hunter - 04-19-2006 Im going to take april 2007, I have faith. Although I really think I just lost $10. - CaptainHenreh - 04-19-2006 Dragon Wrote:I'd put money in on this but he's a sneaky bastard. - Chris - 04-19-2006 February 2007 but man I'd like to see it sooner. - Feersty - 04-19-2006 February 2008 - Kaan - 04-19-2006 I'm in ($10)... because i can just tell Rich or Grumpy not to pass the car. you'd have a better chance of that car coming to see me. - Evan - 07-10-2006 so you still going to take the pool G? wheeee! - G.Irish - 07-10-2006 What are we at, $80? - Ginger - 07-10-2006 I bet $5 that it doesn't get finished - G.Irish - 07-10-2006 You can't bet $5, the buy-in is $10 fool. - Mike - 07-10-2006 an axle nut has been removed since the beginning of this pool. yes, singular. yes, it took 2 nights. |
