Your motorcycle a splode - .RJ - 04-09-2006 Andrew got fed up with his POS bike and decided he was going to part it out - I offered the use of my garage, and within about 3 hours the whole thing was apart on the floor  ![]() ![]() ![]()
- Maengelito - 04-09-2006 i'm not sure who that other guy is (not andrew and not RJ) but there's something not right about wearing an arguile sweater to work on a motorcycle - Ginger - 04-09-2006 The other guy has been my friend for close to 10 years, name's Phil. He's a certified Honda, Ducati, and BMW mechanic working down at Morton's BMW now (shameless plug). As soon as he showed up it was Game Over for the bike... I didn't expect to take it all apart today, but we got it out of the way. So, what should be in the future now? - Maengelito - 04-09-2006 not doubting his abilities... just looks weird when thats something you could wear to go out on the town - Ginger - 04-10-2006 lol I was just plugging him as a mechanic, really. Getting his certifications was one of the best things he ever did for himself. He just finished up bike school and I'm pretty proud of him. For the folks that don't know: The third regulator/rectifier that the VFR had seen consumed itself on the trip down to the Burg. The battery saw extended periods of 25V+ charging and subsequently died out. I've got 3 or 4 busted-ass batteries at my house now and I'm pretty tired of it. It could have been a lot of different things causing the repeated failures and it just became not worth it anymore. Big thanks to RJ for his tools, time, and space. This probably wouldn't have been possible without him. Oh, and thanks for the ride home, too! - Feersty - 04-10-2006 Niiice. So what's next? - Evan - 04-10-2006 Feersty Wrote:Niiice.
