This girl I know just got one, I was just wondering if they are any count? - Dave - 04-06-2006 never even heard of them. Sounds like somebody been hittin the GFCP too hard... - BLAIR - 04-06-2006 sentra-altima?????????????.... deff not a 240 - HAULN-SS - 04-06-2006 oh...sentra..my bad - D_Eclipse9916 - 04-06-2006 They are still slow, what do you want to know? They handle alright, almost as good as the protege. I beleive they got about 160-180 horsepower. They are tripods on hard-corners. - mpg9999 - 04-07-2006 Its either an Altima SE-R or a Sentra SE-R. Nissan has really whored out the original SE-R name badge (which was from 91-94 in case you care). The Altima SE-R is basically a 3.5 SE with some different wheels, exhausts, a few other things, and a big sticker price. The Sentra SE-R is the version of the sentra that comes with the QR25DE (2.5 liter), same as whats in the base model Altima. Its got around 170-180 hp. Its got alot of low end grunt, very torquey. The spec V has a Helicol type LSD and 6 speed trannsmission. Quarter mile wise they are maybe a low 15 second car stock. Hopefully she got a new one. The 02 (first year they came out) and I think 03 had some crappy gear ratios, which was changed. They've also had some recalls for the cats failing and a few other things like that. They handle pretty decently stock, its a fairly stiff suspension for a stock car. Tires are I believe 215's (17 inch wheels). They are a pretty decent value considering you can get them for 16k. Overall I like the car alot, my ex has one and I'm a large part of why she picked it. I've probably driven over 1,000 miles in her SE-R. It was either that or a jetta. - HAULN-SS - 04-07-2006 oh yeah - its the spec V forgot that part |
