- Feersty - 03-26-2006

GO MASON!

- Mike - 03-26-2006

that was some silly shit.

- Evan - 03-26-2006

holy crap!

I missed this game and motogp Cry Sad

- John - 03-26-2006

Holy crap is right... is Fairfax on fire tonight? Glad my car isn't out there to be torched... oh wait, it is...

- lyltoy - 03-26-2006

this is crazy...missed the game but heard it was really good

- John - 03-26-2006

It was a good game... Mason was getting their ass kicked the first half, came back, and then was down by 9 at the half. The continued to press, built a small lead, and at the close of the 2nd half UConn came back. In OT Mason played strong, and again, UConn threatened to come back, but their shots were off. Mason won... amazing....

They've gotten this far by upsetting two national champions... no reason they couldn't seal the deal.

- Sijray21 - 03-27-2006

yeah i couldn't believe it

GMU in the Final Four Confusedhock:

- Kaan - 03-27-2006

I won my office pool this morning off of some crazy points system... since i have one of the final 4 teams picked... and no one else had any left lol.

If florida beats GMU and loses in the championship i tie for a win, out of 25 people and 30 brackets, only 4 people have potential points left and this is my only way of winning money. I won't even win it'll be a tie.

- WRXtranceformed - 03-27-2006

This has been a seriously fucked up tournament. Nobody could have picked these teams in the final 4.

- navin - 03-27-2006

gyeaaa, I'm almost proud to be a GMU student.. almost

If it wasnt for Summit this weekend, my ass would be on the bus and heading to Indy for the final four!

- bassmangrammy - 03-28-2006

Agreed, but since GMU won, I won my only pool. W00t!

out of 3 million who put in brackets on ESPN.com, 4 picked the final four.
Last year it was 4,000

- HAULN-SS - 03-28-2006

That's not true - it was somewhere in the hundreds

- Mike - 03-28-2006

HAULN-SS Wrote:That's not true - it was somewhere in the hundreds

got sources? i don't, but everyone i have spoken with has said 4.

- HAULN-SS - 03-28-2006

"According to statistics provided by ESPN, 1,854 of the 3 million brackets had George Mason making the Final Four.

Of those, 284 picked the Patriots to win the national title. Most of those brackets were presumably filled out by alumni, people whose favorite colors are the Patriots' green and yellow, or maybe American history buffs (George Mason was a key player in the establishment of the new nation, but refused to endorse the Constitution because, initially, it didn't include a Bill of Rights).

" - ah, my mistake - that was how many who picked mason to win it, not how many got all 4 teams

- Sijray21 - 03-28-2006

i only found 3 on the leaderboard - the first two and someone else in the top 10 for espn:
