NASA @ CMP; May 6-7 - PDenbigh - 03-14-2006 Is CMP worth a 6 hour drive? I think I'm going to go if for no other reason than to experience a new track. Who is going (working or driving)? I'll have at least two comfortable spots in my truck if someone wants a ride. If Alison doesn't go, I'll have 3 spots and happy to share. Depending on your desired comfort level, my truck can seat 6 with belts including the driver, if more need rides I'll let yall duke it out ;-). - Dragon - 03-14-2006 I'm in! j/k man. I can't speak from a driver's standpoint since I haven't had a chance to drive it other than touring laps and pace car duties, but the few times I've gotten to ride with an instructor on it I really enjoyed myself. Sure the grid sucks, sure the paddock sucks, sure there seems to be only one tree for shade, but what other location has MM doing keg stands on the balcony, pizza fights in the parking lot, and drunken bicycle/golf kart races late night in the paddock. - Andy - 03-14-2006 I would be in for working if someone can give me a ride. - .RJ - 03-14-2006 Its a great track, but the long drive and the place eats tires and brakes pretty bad has me on the fence. - Mike - 03-14-2006 on the fence as well.... that is a hella long weekend. - JohnC - 03-14-2006 I wasn't all that impressed... And RJ isn't kidding when he says it eats tires - I chunked the hell out of some new Fuzions last year... - PDenbigh - 04-04-2006 Origional post updated. Who is going, working or driving? - Evan - 04-04-2006 Since I missed the Shenandoah weekend, I plan on going to this event to race. I should be able to take 1 person to/from NoVA. - Kaan - 04-04-2006 I'm going down to work this event. I'll be the only one in the tech shed which should be interesting. ps- some of the ugliest women in american live in Kershaw. - Dragon - 04-04-2006 I'll be working grid as usual. - Evan - 04-04-2006 Kaan Wrote:ps- some of the ugliest women in american live in Kershaw.so does that mean you may actually be able to get a date?
- Kaan - 04-04-2006 No i still cant get a date... thats why i have weekly appointments with your mom, RJs mom, and Brians mom
- Sijray21 - 04-04-2006 Kaan Wrote:No i still cant get a date... thats why i have weekly appointments with your mom, RJs mom, and Brians mom you forgot RJ's and OGWing's sister - Kaan - 04-04-2006 "I" dont talk about the OG wings sister. i've seen the look in his eyes up close when you do... it aint pretty. BUT if anyone is looking for RJs sister... shes tied up in my closet.

Good times are in Kershaw, although it is a very long drive. Last year it was very tough on the 240, as this was the only event it ever seemed to have any problems (PS squealing, differential chatter); I think it was because it was just so damned hot. As stated above, it is also very hard on tires and brakes. The track is a lot of fun, even though there are virtually no elevation changes. It is also a fairly easy track, so it lets you learn it quick and then really start pushing it for the rest of the weekend. Honestly, I'd probably be going to work this event, but I'll graduating again, as will Lindsey, so this event is a no-go for me. - Andy - 04-07-2006 I'm working wherever. Wouldn't mind being a corner worker, I could use it to learn the track. - PDenbigh - 04-12-2006 Alright fellas, I'm registered. Here's to hoping I shake down the XR before the event! As stated before I can provide rides to some folks that aren't driving. If you've had experience towing you get moved up on the list ;-). |
