Chad posted this on corner-carvers - I might have to pick one up. I'm not sure what i'd do with a fully functioning jack. I am convinced both of mine are going to fail every time I am going to use them.

looks just like the cheap HF aluminum jacks.
My craftsman would be nice if I could figure out how to bleed it....

Yeah it looks just like the HF jack except in red. Doesn't mean anything is wrong with it, but it no look special to me.
But whatever RJ, you need to stop effing around and get air jacks.

Well, next jack I buy, I will back all the bolts out and loctite *everything* and do a routine nut-and-bolt check on it. That should significantly extend the useful life of it.... bolts backing out + jack flexing is what caused the demise of my current HF jack.

hf also has a small one for around $80 that Ive been thinking about picking up for the portability. good for changing tires.
what I really want is a drill/driver operated scissor jack.

my HF jack hasnt given me many problems. i bleed it fairly regularly (ie: when its lifting power seems to take more coersion) and a bolt has come loose on it once, but other than that, its pretty solid.

I have the meavy mofo steel version and it hauls my 3/4 ton 4x4 right up.

Cobetto has the alum. one and uses it on the E30 at the track with no probs. Seems pretty well made.
