Is there a difference between 100mm and 115mm - Feersty - 04-16-2004

I have been shopping around the idea of getting some chrome 17" wheels. Anyways when I go on websites for packages sometimes I get 100mm and sometimes I get 115mm when it shows my lug. Is there a difference btwn these? How do I found out which one is on my car.

I tried to look it up and it says some were 100mm and some were 115mm. I dunno why that is. Strange.

- BLINGMW - 04-16-2004

nah, no difference a BFH can't deal with.

seriously though, yes, it's all the difference. You'll have to figure yours out for sure before buying something. And have some idea of the offset too. I've seen methods of measuring mentioned on the 'net. Also, keep in mind that some wheels have holes drilled for BOTH patterns, so that'd be a safe bet. Smile

*edit*
..........I didn't even take the chance to give you a hard time about that. A complete failing on my part. You did say you wanted some CHROME wheels? Sweet! Why not go for spinners too? And why stop at 17?

It will be worth it in due time.

buy a bike

Don't listen to these pansies.

Get some centerline racing 5 spoke chrome rims. They are hot as fuck and are lightweight as well.
Don't roll anything less than 17 inches.

4X100 is really common for the "small" hondas and alot of european cars.

4X115 is really, really bizarre, and I doubt you'll find a "universal" bolt pattern that has both 4X100 AND 4X115. Most universals are 4X100 and 4X114.3.

Unless we're talking 5 lug. All I know about 5 lug wheels is that I can't have them. (at least, not for a few more months.)

i second this, either that or save for mods or stuff for the new car when you get it.

- Feersty - 04-19-2004

When I buy a car, I will not lease it. I will pay all of what it is worth on the same day.

- ScottyB - 04-19-2004

if that's the case, then the first step to saving up that money to pay off all at once is to not buy stuff you really don't need on a car that really doesn't need it, IMO.

you don't have to lease it, you can still pay installments while still paying for the car as a purchase. That way you can finance it. If you have a lot saved up then you can make a very large down payment if you'd like, gotta start saving now if that's the case though.

I don't like the idea of taking out a loan on the car that I will get.
