Lexan Time!

Yes, that is all the same weekend. Actually only Saturday and Sunday, Friday was way to busy to take any pics. Sorry but no video from me this time. Cone Cam's wern't working and I couldn't find a good place to mount the camera to get a good view. On the up side I knocked off 2 seconds from my lap time.

hmmm... now that you point that out.... there is a line across it that seems like where it would meet up with the roof if it were to open so far....

- Sijray21 - 02-20-2006

just got home...ugh

froze my ass off, but it was good to see you guys on track. Now i'm motivated to get back on track even more.

i'll have my pics up later - i need to edit them, resize, and post them - i think i took close to 150 pics this weekend

i can't use we-todd since the server's been down for a while. If anyone else has any other host methods let me know! Big Grin (i really need to start my own site... :x )

I do have some other shots that i took with Tony's (VIR worker) SLR that he's willing to send to me. I'll post those when i get them.

i don't have full (only 650 x 400) resolution of Dave, Any, and Chad. Due to my own stupidity of resizing them without creating a copy. :hammer:

side note: Dave i'm gathering your old pics to email to you (from the post where you said you lost your old one's). I have to find them all Wink

Maeng was this the first time you tracked the miata? I cant seem to remember you bringing it to Summit or VIR any time before...If it is, how'd ya like it?

Looks like a horrible weekend lol, but still some good pics.

- CaptainHenreh - 02-20-2006

I've got the first half of the enduro from T1....anyone know where I can host something that big?

I'm gonna make a couple of edits, one to get rid of all the "dead space" with no one at our corner and another for just the sprint/enduro....and edit out Chris standing in front of the camera during the First Green Clusterfuck at T1.

it was the first track event for the miata and i loved it. the car definitely needs more power and i think it was a good weekend to get used to it. the brakes were a bit more sensitive than the integras so i locked dem shits up a couple of times. the azenis that i have are really old anyway so now they are old and flatspotted but thats fine.

I dont think video.google.com has file size restraints (unlike putfile and youtube) Im uploading a 300mb video there now.

I got to give to you guys you are dedicated. I would have never wanted to be out there in those conditions.

what you don't get is it wasn't that bad. Yes it snowed. Yes it was cold, yes it was wet. But dammit. We were at the track and having a blast. Once the track bug bites, you can be out there in almost any condition and still have a fucking blast. If you goto the track, and don't have a good time, you are in the wrong sport. Even when I wrecked my car, I still could call it a good weekend b/c the day before was so much damn fun.

I couldn't have put that better myself Chad. I don't even go on track yet, but I'm truly in love with this sport. So much so that I go out there and stand in the cold, wet, snowy, windy, whatever conditions because I want to be there to help provite the opportunity for others to have fun. Sure it's occasionally stressful, sure occasionally I get yelled at, but when I see my buddies out there getting their comp licenses, racing, doing HPDE's, or I get an email from a racer telling me how much he appreciates my effort, it's all worth it. It'll be even more so later on this year when I get out on track myself.

Yeah my enthusiasm for it definitely doesn't outweigh the harsh conditions. I guess a few bad experiences in my past has put a damper on it being enjoyable for me. No fault to anyone in particular but myself and compliation of occurences.
