another one down - Chris - 02-16-2006 many of you know my old roommate Sameer. he caught some gravel around a turn last night and was thrown off his brand new CBR 600RR. hes ok, but both ankles are sprained and he thinks his wrist is broken... the bike didn't fare well either. just thought I'd share and wish him the best recovery. stay safe out there! - G.Irish - 02-16-2006 Shitlox Hope his recovery doesn't take too long!

- .RJ - 02-16-2006 I debated taking the new bike out but the roads are covered in so much crap it just wasnt worth it. - ScottyB - 02-17-2006 geez that blows. here's hoping for his quick recovery...
- junooni - 02-17-2006 sorry to hear that man...i almost dropped it in my parking lot in southview last night...there is so much crap on the group..it looks like dirt but its either salt or some other crap...so take it easy on guys...hoq much is the damage on sameer's bike....i hope it not too much and he is able to get back on it soon - Mike - 02-17-2006 crap this is getting bad. good luck with recovery, sameer. i think i have officially stopped looking at bikes. - Sijray21 - 02-17-2006 junooni Wrote:hoq much is the damage on sameer's bike....i hope it not too much and he is able to get back on it soon i think baggio can explain further since he actually rode it back to his apartment that night, but i think it's substantial i met up at the ER with him that night. I know he's at home right now relaxing, but he's not feeling too well. I hope for a quick recovery time for him. If any of you know him he lost most of his feeling to his left forearm to his hand from a prior car accident, but he can actually feel some of the pain from his wrist from this. - Ross.Church - 02-17-2006 Where was this turn? I've been riding the past few days around town at it doesn't seem too bad. Theres some salt residue but that doesn't seem enough to really cause an accident unless you're knee-dragging. Hope he feels better though. - mrbaggio - 02-17-2006 He went down in front of rockbottom. I think it was right at the entrance to the garage. The damage to the bike is pretty bad. Every plastic on the left side is broken or scrached. From what i can tell i figure we was making a sharp right hand turn and hit some gravel. the rear tire slid. then got traction again and high sided him over to the left. The bike was ok for the ride back to his house ( I took it for him.) It felt solid still. foot peg and shifter were gone. that made it a bit tricky. - Mike - 02-17-2006 in front of rock bottom? shit, i went by there like 10 times around 7pm and then one final time around 10... what time did it happen? - derilict - 02-18-2006 Man, this whole falling off of bikes thing is getting to be an epidimic. Too bad I'm addicted to riding; it's worse than when I was hooked on crack. - mrbaggio - 02-20-2006 about 8ish Wed - Kaan - 02-21-2006 I hope the recovery is speedy! If you own a bike you will go down. At that point to decide if you get back on or retire. Down in the woodbridge area... i wouldnt ride until we get a nice heavy rain, there is a ton of salt and sand down still. - Sijray21 - 03-10-2006 It's Sameer. I don't know why JayRay would be stupid enough to save his password on my computer - but whatever. So i am almost healed. Still got a good bit of swelling around one ankle, and my wrist still hurts bad, but whatever. Jay and I have been working on my bike for a couple weeks now and the only thing that needs to be fixed now is the left mid-fairing and a scratch on the tank. Other than that, its good to go. We changed the Tail section on the bike a couple nights ago, it was hard as shit, but we got it. I have the old tail hanging up on my wall now (of course its all scratched and cracked up). Thanks for all the support and get-well-soons from you guys. I'll be out on the road in no time. In the meantime, ponder my favorite quote... "Faster, faster - Until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death."-Hunter Thompson - Feersty - 03-11-2006 I can post the pictures if its okay. |
