Sheared off bolt head. - Nis01 - 02-10-2006 Well.. I managed to shear off the head of a 10mm bolt in the engine bay today. Does anybody have a drill and bolt extractor I could borrow sometime soon? Please let me know if you do. I've never attempted to extract a bolt before so any information or expertise would be welcome. - Dave - 02-10-2006 we'll tackle it tomorrow when you get back from karting, assuming we dont get a ton of snow - JustinG - 02-11-2006 ehhh screw it, they put to many bolts on cars nowadays anyway.... Shouldnt be to bad, location of the bolt? - Nis01 - 02-11-2006 Its just a bolt on the fender lining... I was attempting to replace my hood dampers. The first one came off fine, the second just snapped... figures. - WRXRacer111 - 02-11-2006 hood dampers? that car didn't have hood dampers when i last saw it! LOL, what've you done to it? I like spiral-fluted extractors better, but I'm sure Dave has something good as well since he has a couple old-ish cars. I've gotten a whole lot of practice with screw extractors after I bought my '91 Honda... - Nis01 - 02-11-2006 WRXRacer111 Wrote:hood dampers? that car didn't have hood dampers when i last saw it!
