TMS chip and intake for e36 - Yahosh - 02-06-2006 Hey, I just joined the club so I'm not sure how many of you guys are running e36 bmws, but if you are I've got a couple goodies up for grabs. First, I have a Turner Motorsport chip for M3s built after 1/95. TMS claims 19hp and 16 ft./lbs of torque IIRC. The intake is made by cosmos racing, which was started on bimmerforums (not cosmo intakes sold on ebay). I just cleaned it and oiled it so all you have to do is slip it on. The CAI will work with any e36 model I believe. It sounds pretty mean, and both the chip and CAI together make a very noticeable difference. Looking to pick up $150 for the chip and $100 for the intake with the cleaning kit. email me at lawrenjw@jmu.edu if you're interested. - Nick325is - 02-06-2006 Might be interested in the intake for my brother's e36. What all does it come with? Nick - Yahosh - 02-07-2006 It's a "Dinan style" intake that reaches down below the headlight. It includes the tube, K&N filter, the mounting brackets, and a coupler that attaches to the MAF. I added a rubber sleeve to it to protect the tube from a piece of protruding metal in the engine bay, but you can take it off if you want. If you bought it new you'd have to modify the bracket (I don't know why they just don't sell it that way in the first place), but I already took care of it, so it's an easy install. Hope that helps. - Nick325is - 02-07-2006 Thanks..it would be going on a 96 328is. I believe it will fit correct? Nick - Yahosh - 02-07-2006 Yeah, it will fit and work fine on a 328is. I forgot to mention that one of the horns has to be relocated to where the cruise control unit is. It's not a big deal at all, but I just thought I should mention it. I can help put it in if he's in the area. - Nick325is - 02-07-2006 Sounds good. I will check with him tommorow and let you know. nick - ripley - 02-07-2006 if nick doesnt grab it i'm interested. - Yahosh - 02-07-2006 Still waiting to hear back from Nick, but I'll let you know what happens. Nobody interested in the chip?? - Nick325is - 02-08-2006 He may have to go ahead and pass on the intake. Sorry for the wait on response. He is alittle short in fundage after getting new tires. Nick - Yahosh - 02-08-2006 hey, no problem man, i know how it is. and so the intake is still up for grabs... are you still interested ripley? - ripley - 02-08-2006 i'll take it... how would you like me to pay u for it? when, where? etc etc - ripley - 02-08-2006 do u have a link to a website with the same intake? what color? - Yahosh - 02-09-2006 Sweet man, glad you got back to me cause I have someone else interested from another forum, but I wanted to give priority to a fellow Duke. If you're in the area we can get together this weekend sometime (or whenever's convenient for you) so you can pick it up. I'd prefer cash or check, but I can do paypal if you want. Here's a link to some pics and a review of it: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh ... heatshield You can download a video of it from the link given in the first post on that thread, but here's that link just in case: http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/video ... MXk1NDE%3D Just let me know when you want to pick it up and we'll go from there. - ripley - 02-10-2006 cool... mmm saturday would be cool... i get paid then. I work 10-6, I can be in the burg around 6:30, I'll swing by suntrust and grab some dough and meet you wherever. Sound good? I have depot's with retro'd e46 xenon's... hopefully the ballasts wont be in the way. It's ok though, we're gonna stick it on my friend's 325 if it doesnt work with mine. Meeting around 130 would be really good. Let me know what would work. - JohnC - 02-10-2006 ---> - ripley - 02-10-2006 JohnC Wrote:---> killing precious database space? I can't stand pm. - ripley - 02-10-2006 by the way Yahosh... is this you?
- Nick325is - 02-10-2006 Looks like his car. Nick - Yahosh - 02-10-2006 Sweet, 1:30 sounds awesome. Lets meet at the Outpost (the new one where chasers used to be) at that time. If you want to meet somewhere else just let me know, it doesn't matter to me. It should fit with the depot's, but I have heard that it's definately a tight fit, so I guess it depends on how much effort you're willing to put into screwing with it. Yeah that's my car, were you running your car at that meet? I think I may have talked to you there, but it looks like that was awhile back so maybe i'm wrong. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow man. |
