any Windows pros out there to help with this annoyance? - BLINGMW - 01-24-2006 You know what honestly is the main thing I dislike about Windows? XP, 2000, 98, whatever, they've all done it. When I'm launching an application or opening another window, but working in a window or application that's already open, every time the background window has something going on, it jumps to the front. I click back. It jumps up again, "I'm almost done loading! Use me!" NO DIE BITCH I'LL GET TO YOU WHEN I'M GOOD AND READY. So I'm trying to type something and it keeps getting screwed up. Any of you seen a hack or fix for this? It bugs the hell out of me. Always has. - ScottyB - 01-24-2006 hahahahaha STOP ALL THE DOWNLOADING - Evan - 01-24-2006 windows PowerToys had a mouse focus utility that worked similar to *nix window managers where the focus would always follow your mouse. Not sure if it works on 2k or xp though. try googling it personally i found it extremely annoying - PDenbigh - 01-24-2006 Also on powertoys is Tweak UI that has an option that prevents programs from "stealing focus" - Feersty - 01-24-2006 ScottyB Wrote:hahahahaha ha, yeah Chan stop that crazy downloading or just give the monitor a swift wack of your cane. - JohnC - 01-24-2006 This bugs the hell out of me too - I had no idea you could change that. Thanks for the tips guys. - BLINGMW - 01-24-2006 Holy crap, you guys rock. It works! Although I wish you could set the menu bar to flash NO times, it's still a big improvement. And it looks like there's all kinds of other fun stuff in there for me to mess with later. YAY! - .RJ - 01-24-2006 Help Computer! - Ginger - 01-24-2006 .RJ Wrote:Help Computer!
