Well I know all of you haven't been informed of the Madison Motorshow details, and now is your time to know! We've been working out a lot of details and fighting bureaucracys, but most of the final things are worked out. I have included a show map design, that will be the general layout if every group shows up.
-pocket bike club is bringing 6-8 bike and having a display
-JMU NASCAR is being put on display (owner bringing a 1970 cutlass)
-Soapbox display from local kids group
-4x4 vehicle category if enough show up (there was interest from a group so we created a category)
-JMU break dance club to perform at NOON
-DJ set
-we are selling food that we will purchase at cost-co- only packaged food and soda
-GT3 and race video playing in tent with food
-possible dealerships to come: O'Baugh Chevy, city motors, Subaru, H-Burg auto outlet
-donations received: $50 crutchfield, $50 Shenandoah automotive, $25 and $10 gift cert. from advance auto, 2 free oil changes from Merchants, 3 free oil changes from Toyota dealer, and 2 value meals from Mc D's
-some of these prizes will be raffled off
-club t-shirts for sale at show
-possible display from blue ridge power sports (bike shop)
-show info packets and evaluation forms for each participant
What to bring/what we need:
folding chairs
extension cords-tape your name on them so you get them back
power strips/surge protectors
cameras!
I will start another thread with worker positions and help needed.

If we're going to have generators, and I bring my own powerstrip and extension cord, does that mean I can plug the laptop in and keep it on the entire time?
Chris, you still want me to bring the TV as well, correct? I have one fold out chair, I might be able to find some more.

No, you cannot plug your own stuff in. If we allow 1 person then everybody would want it. We just don't have that much power. Bring a power inverter and/or charge your battery beforehand.

just a note - i kinda like how only members get a t-shirt and stickers, im sure you guys discussed this, but i would rather we didnt sell the shirts, then again money is money and if we have extra ones we might as well get some money for them......just my two cents

I have no clue what the generators are supposed to be used for. There is no way to power the laptop from the car, and the battery is only good for several hours. I will just have conserve the charge.

Generator is to run the DJ, TVs, the car video laptop, and anything else we might need.

and the generator may be out of range of the cars, depending on where we put it.

I think having my engine management system on and fully powered all day is waay more important than any of those things. I'm getting it to say, "warning danger to manifold."

Weather.com is calling for 78 or so degrees on Saturday. I'm extremely pumped up knowing how many people will be out and about on such a fine day.

Guys,
sorry to bring on bad news just before the show, but the pocket bike group had a business emergency and will not be attending.
This is news to me as of today. The show will still go on and will be awesome so don't worry!!!
