Here's some inspiration for dave:

turbo
wheels

- Chris - 01-12-2006

you know dave will go back to RWD, just give him time to try out the SE-R

- Dave - 01-12-2006

that is pretty nice. The wheels are a bit too big for my taste, 18s are the biggest that needs to be on this car, are those 19s or 20s? Clear 97-98 turn signals look kinda dopey, as does the exhaust. That is one super clean car though. The turbo, well, is ludicrous, and I think the owner should be bitch-slapped for putting it on that car. Yeah, I'm picky about my supras.
That's a mean looking 1g DJ. Me like.
Rex, that's an awesome SE-R pic.
Yeah, I'll go back to RWD. I've got a big list of cars that I want, and only a few of them are FWD, so I'll be switching back soon unless this SE-R really impresses me.

- Goodspeed - 01-13-2006

19" CCW 505A's. I guess i'm the MM Supra outkast...I'm all for the clear turn signals and 19s are as big as a Supra needs, with lowering they fill up the wheelwells perfectly. Depends on the Supra and associated body mods or lack thereof.

Turbo is a Garrett GT47/80mm, same turbo that helped to set the 1520whp Supra dyno record. Damn thing weighs 58 pounds
Full boost at 5800rpm, thats really only when the powerband even starts lol, I'm sure with some nitrous for spool its somewhat liveable.

Ryan Woon has the 88mm 47 on his 8.62@171mph street car, and I'm told at lower revs around town it drives like a stock NA Supra...until you get on it. But completely docile. (That time w/ 3550lb race weight, full suede interior, AC, stereo blablabla...stock 6speed and IRS)
It is a bit over the top for a street car, I'll agree, and is probably on the car solely for rediculous dyno numbers, but I'm sure offers some nice little body distorting highway pulls Big Grin Not sure what exhaust that is, but looks like quite a sleeper

- Dave - 01-13-2006

eh, I'm more of a supra outkast that you are. I'm just extremely picky about my supras. This one is pretty tasteful compared to some of the crap that I've seen on the supra forums.

This is Supra perfection for me...the most tasteful it gets when modded (besides stock bodied I guess)

I am a strong believer in the "to each his own" ethic (well maybe except for VeilSide body kits), from the guy running a T61 for the roadcourse to the guy with a 88mm turbo for the street/strip. If its built with a purpose and within the boundaries of good taste, I'm all for it. People can say "thats useless and he can't drive that on the street" all they want, but if the owner is willing to deal with their setup in real world conditions and are happy with it, thats all that matters. One infamous Supra owner once said "you just have to learn how to drive around the power"

Now go sell the other cars and work on the one that matters

- Feersty - 01-13-2006

I like the clean stock Supra Turbo look.

- Evan - 01-13-2006

I need 2 bottles. Big ones. By tonight.

- D_Eclipse9916 - 01-13-2006

The middle 2 supras are nice. I especially like the cf lip on the iwng of the third car. However the first and last pictures are cars that I would not be caught dead in. They are disgusting.

Whats up with the speed holes??

- Jeff - 01-13-2006

The top one reminds me of a riced out Sebring coupe...lol. I like the white ones....black wheels would be a must.

- Goodspeed - 01-13-2006

Riced out....Sebring? dude, come on lol

Those are examples of TRD's 3000GT Widebody kit for the Supra. Widens about 6-8 inches overall. Directly adapted from the JGTC Supra program, so its very functional and very, very expensive
