Dyno results for the new STI: Coming soon! - WRXtranceformed - 01-05-2006

Stay tuned!

I'm heading up to TurboXS on Saturday to see what they can do with her. I'm hoping no physical issues with the engine / setup come up to hold it back, but I don't forsee anything huge. If anything, the stock clutch might not hold up to the power, so keep your fingers crossed for me that that doesn't happen hehe.

I'm trying to locate some race gas before I go so I can get a special tune for it. Anyone know of a place in Northern VA or the Winchester area maybe that sells some I could pickup late tomorrow or real early on Saturday?

Why not run dyno with regular gas...are you trying to be a queen?

- WRXtranceformed - 01-05-2006

I will run it with 93 octane guaranteed for daily driving. But while I'm there, why not tune it for race gas as well to see what it's capable of?

- HAULN-SS - 01-05-2006

I dunno, I guess if you're spending a lot of time there you can possibly do both...however, I think that'd I'd rather know what I had under the hood when I was actually driving around town...not what I had back at the Dyno

Ah word. Yeah I'll be up there for a few hours, more than enough time to dyno two setups. It would be nice to know what I could potentially run at a strip too, if I ever stop making excuses and make it to one =p

The turbo has a lot more left in it, but unfortunately the fuel delivery system doesn't 8) Injectors are completely maxed out, would probably need fuel rails, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump and different tuning software for more power. I'm definitely happy, the car runs great and pulls like a freight train.

Close to 500awhp would definitely be attainable with this setup on race gas, but sadly I was too hungover this morning to wake up in time to go find some. Maybe next time.

- BLINGMW - 01-07-2006

is the red line where you started and purple where you ended up? Those are some serious #'s!

- WRXtranceformed - 01-07-2006

Yeah red (and the numbers in yellow) is the baseline. The previous owner's tune was pretty good as you can see, but he left it rich so it had a lot left in it. The green numbers are what TurboXS was able to pull out of it. 392hp at all 4 wheels = pure sex!

- D_Eclipse9916 - 01-07-2006

Wow fast as shit. Looks like they also did a little flattening out and and definitely in your horsepower curve smoothed it out a lot.

- Mike - 01-07-2006

geeez nice! i demand a ride.

- Nis01 - 01-07-2006

You suck!

- Feersty - 01-07-2006

Nice Lee, I need a ride in the beast..

- ScottyB - 01-07-2006

wow Lee, i bet you're glad you dropped by to tune that! you gained a nice chunk of power and the curve looks great.

i'd LOVE to be in the driver's seat when that thing hits 4000 rpm

lol!

LUDICROUS SPEED!!!!!!!!

- WRXtranceformed - 01-08-2006

Threw my first solid CEL tonight on the way home from Boston Market. P0103: mass air flow sensor high output

This could be caused from a number of things, including a dirty or busted MAF, intake leak, boost leak.... but most likely it's from the voltage being maxed out for too long. My tuner showed me the voltages from the MAF at WOT and they're all on the threshold of being maxed out. Guess I need to turn down the boost just a little =p

Gonna check out the MAF tomorrow and make sure its ok, maybe spray it with a little carb cleaner and turn down the boost 1 or 2 psi.

Why do the graphs say FlyWheel at the top? typo?
