the whole reason i watch top gear is because it's good entertainment and nothing more. if all those criteria change, its a whole different show. you can carry over the cars and cinematography but it won't be the same. all i can hope for is that it doesn't turn into another pathetic US automotive show like C&D TV.

hock: I really hope they get it right. Obviously they've got big shoes to fill with TG UK and their emmy winning cast... but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless. I'm not prejudging. I can't wait.

Can anyone designate for me the difference between Top Gear and Fifth Gear? I am not sure exactly what the differences are.

oh yeah, same here. i don't mean to sound like such a pessimist but the UK top gear will be a hard act to follow. either way it will be an improvement over what we usually get over here.

Top Gear is hosted by Jeremy Clarkson and two other dudes, one is named Richard Hammond, and Fifth Gear is hosted by both Tiff Nedell (who is my favorite driver by the way) and this cute lady whose name I forgot.
Oh yeah, Spike TV has some of the corniest (sorry about the spelling) car shows on TV! They also try too hard to tend to an audience of stereotypical male jocks. Just my opinion.
Lastly, does anyone know how "finalgear" works? I have been trying to download Top Gear videos from them for a long time now, but I can't figure out how. And what is Torent??

She's hot especially when she does the "hot hatch" comparo for Fifth Gear. :lol:
