I have a lead on a 90 240sx for 600 bucks. I havn't seen it yet, but it is a 5 spd with approx 150k miles on it. Runs...passed state inspec/emissions just recentely. The owner buys stuff at my store (older man) so I know what he's done to it recentely in terms of maintaining it which is pretty much everything .
Is there any reason I shouldn't pick this up? I told him not to tell anyone else the asking price (he hadn't even decided to sell it until I asked him about it and he is the one who named the price).

is it a hatch or a coupe? Regardless, that is a good deal and you could probably sell it for a decent profit if nothing else.

do it T. if anything, with a small amount of effort you could turn a nice profit on it. 240's are fun cars anyway if you choose to keep it.

better question: why not?

Buy it!

If you don't buy it then pass my name on to him!

That sounds like a great deal

Well, 90's, as I'm sure you know, are the single-cam "Pig Nose" ones. None ever had LSD, they make about 20hp less than the twin cams, and they have a few unique difficulties in doing an SR swap.

On the other hand, KA's are rock solid and easily boosted, but I imagine you're just looking for a fun DD?

I say go for it. Seems like a fair price, if the comp #'s work out.

yup. great deal. Id hit it.

Out of town for Xmas....I'll take a look at it next week. Probably pick it up if it isn't too rusty and has good compression.

check for rust under the stock spoiler, water collects there..

its hard to get a car as popular as a 240 for $600 especially one that runs
