SNOW! - D_Eclipse9916 - 12-05-2005

I hope snow cancels my 5oclock test, gbus sucks not in its hard at all, but all the questions are bullshit... for example

True/False....You should write a written outline of an important speech the day before your presentation.

trick question goddamnit. If I put true, she could say well it shouldnt be done the DAY before but a few days before. Then if I put false she could say, what? your supposed to write out an outline....ARGH!!!

Anyway, maybe some ice drifting tonight? Anyone know any good areas?

- Sijray21 - 12-05-2005

i hate tests with subjective answers or worse...multiple choice answer tests with two right answers, one being the better right answer.

What i've learned: write down your answer and justify it as best as you can. Just let'em know where you're coming from Wink

i doubt the snow will accumulate that much though. It looks like the system is heading south and moving quick.

Costco parking lot is usually money, that is where Austin got those pics in his 2.5RS.

- JackoliciousLegs - 12-05-2005

Isn't that where Dave messed up his exhaust?

As far a snow goes... I'm in Bozeman Montana. Nuff said

RWD sucked coming home.

50/50 weight + RWD + LSD = win in the snow

I like it better than FWD.

Yeah I'm pretty surprised how easy the 'yata is to drive in the snow.

I still brought the WRX today tho, bc the front defroster on the Miata is freaking useless.

Afraid you might break a nail with an ice scraper? Wink

This is precisely one of the reasons i keep my SS at home. It's not quite 50/50, but LSD really doesnt do crap for maintaining control, unless you're going in a straight line anyway, which presumably means you're already in control

Sure it does. Keeping both tires moving, rather than the one tire fire in the snow helps out quite a bit.

Then again, the torsen diff in the miata isnt all that great, but it does work if you're careful with the happy pedal.

- WRXtranceformed - 12-05-2005

The snow is going to severely put the hurt on progress at my job. Which really sucks. Please don't stick tonight please please please!

I am excited to play around with DCCD in the snow though =p

- ScottyB - 12-05-2005

i always liked tearing it up in the old regular walmart lot by highlawn. is it still fenced off?

- Ryan T - 12-05-2005

Supras weight balance is 51/49 and I was surprised at how well it handled the snow last year...on new tires. Even with an open diff, be easy on the skinny pedal and it'll get you where you need to go. But with almost 16k miles on the kuhmo's, I doubt this winter will be as easy going.

If you ever get stuck w/ the one wheel spin you can alway use the e-brake trick, that is if the miata has enough power to turn the wheels w/ the e-brake on...

- Andy - 12-05-2005

45/55 weight balance with a light ass front end = dorifto in the Giant's parking lot.
