I've been to the track a number of times helping the MAM team, but I had never gotten out on track.

Today, I went up to summit and got a ride-along in an 2004 R32. 12 or 14 laps...awesome experiance. I'm looking forward to the next time I'm on track.

Then, I got a chance to drive the R32 for a few laps with an instructor. Amazing. I'm completely hooked.

PS... the R32 is my attainable dream car. If I'm still in Chicago after 2 years, I'm selling the 2.5 and getting an r32.

who was running an event at Summit this late?

BSR was running a Saturday at the Track I believe... not sure if it was SeatTime or a one-off event for instructors and their guests.

Totally agree!! Aaron, did the R32 have the exhaust baffle that makes it sound even more aggressive? Was it stock?

they all come stock with baffles in the muffler that are throttle position activated. many guys do a "baffle mod" that forces the exhaust to stay in full-throttle mode for the most aggressive sound. so, even if the guy didn't do the baffle mod, Aaron definitely heard it go wide open if the guy was driving aggressively, which i'm sure he was.

they are seriously one of the best sounding cars of all time.

the exhaust mod takes about 10 seconds and a vacume cap.ive done a few... loose some torque but it sounds sick as hell all the time

but yea on the track it was wide open the whole time

Yeah, the R32 sounds great. I was the guest of an instructor. I am going to investigate Brian Bass's 944 as a track toy.
