Audi in Speed Touring - ScottyB - 10-19-2005
i got really excited and had to post this. The Stasis Audi team finally pulled off a huge (over 5 seconds ahead of the field) win in Speed Touring at Laguna Seca. It's about time, they've had really well prepped cars but unfortunately the team started out with just about the worst engine available for that chassis.
the B5 chassis was the car that was piloted by Angelone to the win with the new Mahle Powertrain 1.8T to replace the way obselete 12v V6. they were testing the new B6 chassis with the Mahle engine but it suffered a punctured radiator and dropped out.
ultimately this also means even more fun watching Speed Touring because the competition is getting even more mixed up for the top spots!

I feel really dumb, I didn't know there was a race this weekend. And when I happened to turn it on, I thought it was a re-run. How stupid is that? So I didn't watch more than 5 min of it. :? :thumbup: At this point, I don't even know why James qualified but didn't run. I guess I better e-mail him.... I'm sure he's happy :!:

yeah I really love those S4s, I really think they would be one of the best daily drivers, right behind an M5 :twisted:

The B5 S4 was my dream car before I got the M3... I still love them, but they're hard to find these days in Nogaro or Santorin. Good for Audi on the win!

John...the nogaro cars aren't actually too rare. you don't see many red ones though. santorin blue and pelican blue are seperate A4 colors *nerd fact of the day*
