Factory Fives - LorenaBeana - 09-30-2005 What do ya'll know about factory fives? Any overarching issues with any of the models that ya'll know of? Any info is appreciated! (I think I'd get the coupe out of any of em) - .RJ - 09-30-2005 They're only as good as the person who built it. I've seen some real sorry excuses for cobras out there..... a good build is going to be $30k or more. - white_2kgt - 09-30-2005 .RJ Wrote:They're only as good as the person who built it. I've seen some real sorry excuses for cobras out there..... a good build is going to be $30k or more. I'd highly suggest its going to be 'or more'. A GOOD one will probably run closer to 50. Personally, they make great show cars, not so great track cars. To light and to much HP. - Mike - 09-30-2005 and bad aero from what i understand. unless you're making some serious bank and have cash money to throw around, there are far better and cheaper alternatives. - .RJ - 09-30-2005 Radical
- Kaan - 09-30-2005 well the Factory 5 cars are sourced from a kit and i think 87-90 mustangs. the motor is supposed to be "stock." the brakes have to be the cast crap that came on them. contact laura and see if she can put you in touch with the F5 guys and steve marcus... he has a fleet of them. - LorenaBeana - 09-30-2005 Haha...a fleet. Kinda like my fleet of astin martins I guess? And bad aero? as in -dynamics? The car would be for show I believe...highly doubt it'll get too much track time. Just a mid-life crisis auto. - .RJ - 09-30-2005 Mid life crisis auto: 73 Carrera RS Replica ![]() (well, at least I'm planning on it being *my* mid life crisis auto) ![]() ![]() ![]()
- bimmerboodle - 09-30-2005 ^^^ Schwing!!!!! I know a guy with a metallic brown one from I think '79 in his garage. I like those. - bimmerboodle - 09-30-2005 LorenaBeana Wrote:Haha...a fleet. Kinda like my fleet of astin martins I guess? Yeah, he has about 9 or 10 of them - .RJ - 09-30-2005 bimmerboodle Wrote:^^^ Heh, RS was only made in 73 And it cant be a proper replica if its not white..... ![]() Before the peanut gallery asks "why dont you buy a real RS?" I suggest you entertain yourself with the value of a real one.... Then there's also the RS America... ![]()
