Mobil1 - Maengelito - 01-23-2004

just got back from advance auto in c'ville and Mobil1 is on sale for $4.08 a quart there... thats better than walmart and damn near costco prices (w/o the costco membership) so for those of you gettin ready for VIR or just in general need of some sYnThEt1c and are cheap bastards like me, go hit up advance auto...

My Dad recently got a deal at work (ExxonMobil) and was able to pick up a few case for like $10 a pop Smile

I will be using Castrol Syntec this year... Hopefully it wont burn like Mobil 1 does.

I considered the Motul Ester-based synthetic, but it would come out to $50 for roughly 4 qts (4 liters).

I got my oil changed for $19 today. Synthetic is overrated.

you think that stuff has a shelf life... i guess at the prices they are i'll need to keep stocking up before i even get my B series in!

Also found another quote that I found interesting: "Considering the million of years it took to make it, I don't think you or your grandchildren's grandchildren have anything to worry about."

i guess i'll just keep using the old GTX

- Maengelito - 01-23-2004

i wasnt trying to start a "which oil is better?" debate... i know a lot of people use Mobil1 and i was merely informing that its on sale
