Also the bill of sale paperwork that transfers the title. - Sijray21 - 08-25-2005 i don't think it's that hard in va. You need to check out this though: i was also looking into this ![]() http://www.dmv.state.va.us/webdoc/citiz ... ndoned.asp incase it doesn't have a title. If it does it isn't hard, just like a car. - Evan - 08-25-2005 yeah thats what I mean, if it doesnt have a title or needs to be re-titled - Ginger - 08-25-2005 Spill it. If it's got no title you must be buying a bike from Martin. If it doesn't currently have a title you need to attempt to contact the previously recorded owner. If no answer, you go through the abandoned vehicle procedures, if you do get an answer they'll either hand over ownership to you, or claim it... which has got to be done through certified mail, IIRC. The abandoned vehicle faq covers it all pretty well. Hooray for Jay. - Sijray21 - 08-26-2005 asteele2 Wrote:Spill it. not necessarily i found a '01 650s full fairings for $1900, but it had some engine problems with no title on craigslist  - Evan - 08-26-2005 hahah you arent the only one who "found" that one ![]() Im staying away from it though - Sijray21 - 08-26-2005 as much of a bitch it sounds, i want a bike with 0 problems...last thing i need is a technical malfunction on a highway where i'm protected by cars traveling at 40-70 mph - navin - 08-26-2005 thought you were getting that F4i on h-tech Jay? - Sijray21 - 08-26-2005 navin Wrote:thought you were getting that F4i on h-tech Jay? jay doesn't have enough money right now for something like that seemed like the problems for that bike weren't bad though. jay wants a learner bike for the rest of this year, hopefully with the sale of the civic (god knows when that's going to be) and my paychecks coming in jay should have one before the end of september. jay would love to buy that f4i though -- looking for an sv650s or cheap well-functioning bike (gs500e, seca II, ninja 500, zz600) - .RJ - 08-26-2005 I'll probably get an F3/F4 if I dont kill myself on Andrew's bike by next year. - Ginger - 08-26-2005 Word. The next one's going to put me through my race license. - Martin - 08-28-2005 hey If your looking to save some money on a sportbike, getting one thats been down in a minor accident is an awesome way to save money. dont be skurrd of the wrecked bikes, since I've been stunting, I've seen sportbikes take some extreme abuse. Noone I ride with really has any mechanical problems with their stuntibkes, they break handlebars and footpegs but This is a woman in Roanoke that I know that has a titling service. She has a towing company and basically guarantees a title for $250, as long is its not a parts-title bike. Nice lady, she hooked up up a long time a go with a basketcase I found with no title.
