C4 anyone? - Feersty - 08-24-2005 Did a little car search and found this one: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=21&paId=178221120&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=YEAR+descending%2CPRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&recnum=9&leadExists=true&criteria=K-%7CE-%7CM-_9_%7CB-21000%7CD-_86_%7CN-N%7CR-50%7CI-1%7CP-YEAR+descending%2CPRICE+descending%7CQ-descending%7CZ-22152&aff=national The Skinny: 6 Speed $14,000 Excellent condition 47,100 Anything wrong with these cars? Except the fact that the rear tires are probably wicked expensive. - Ginger - 08-24-2005 Um, Rob, have you found a job yet? - G.Irish - 08-24-2005 Gotta plan ahead man! Nothing really wrong with the C4 Vette that I know of. I'd drive a few around first to get a feel for if that's what you want though. Oh, and that's a lot of car if that will be the first car you take on track. Make sure you do a good bit of autocrossing first so you can learn to control it. - Feersty - 08-24-2005 asteele2 Wrote:Um, Rob, have you found a job yet? <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mmsports.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2710">http://www.mmsports.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2710</a><!-- m --> - KPWSerpiente - 08-24-2005 Yes there is something wrong with that car. It sucks. -T - Feersty - 08-24-2005 G.Irish Wrote:Gotta plan ahead man! Good point Gerald, that is why a Miata is on my list....
- Ginger - 08-24-2005 I remember that thread. I was just wondering if you'd gotten an offer already. - CaptainHenreh - 08-24-2005 KPWSerpiente Wrote:Yes there is something wrong with that car. It sucks. Says the man with the broken car. C4's are hot. Do it, feersty. Just make sure you get an LT1, or, if possible, an LT4. - Myuki - 08-25-2005 man, i kinda wish my uncle kept his C4 ZR-1. It hasd a small transmission problem, but was a show car that he kept garaged as lot. He should have kept it. It was really nice. - Kaan - 08-25-2005 i hope you like to have a large protion of your budget going to gas donkey! - Ginger - 08-25-2005 Your trasmission a'splode! - Mike - 08-28-2005 KPWSerpiente Wrote:Yes there is something wrong with that car. The post-94 corvette has so much computer garbage, and if anything goes wrong, the slightest things require dealer attention. Not to mention, something like a normal waterpump (140$+) are more like overpriced waterpump (550$). Also, you can find a way better deal, should be able to find one similar for near 10k - Ryan T - 08-31-2005 I wouldn't buy a pre-1994 vette. Underpowered and riddled with problems of their own. Parts can be cheap for the C4 vette because the parts are all interchangable with the LT1 Camaro's of that same era. A guy my mom works with has a 95 and has had very little problems out of it. They are good cars, I'd go for it. |
