Might be useful.. no?

Thats a really neat service, but the problem is the economy of scale - just 1 or 2 parts may not be worth it, but 20-50 could be.

I thought so too, but check out their price page: http://www.emachineshop.com/faq/prices.htm

It's not that unreasonable, especially for "group buy" stuff like mounts, etc. If you could copy say, an out of order Hasport mount, and get 10 people to commit, you're not looking at too expensive of a price.

And since you use their CAD program to make your gizmo, it sounds pretty easy, too.

It would be *perfect* for Wilwood brake caliper adapters. Figure out exactly what you need, send it off...hrmmm....

maybe MM paperweights? lol

maybe

I designed a few parts using their software about a year ago. It was WAY to expensive to justify. Also I wasn't really to sure how to choose which machine I wanted to do the work. Cool idea none the less.

This has been around for a while

I designed a camera mount with emachineshop. Unfortunately it was just too expensive.
Very cool idea, awesome program, and the realtime pricing kicks ass. Its just not really realistic unless you have a big budget

do they just do auto?

How much did it come out to? Do you remember?

I did a few versions of it trying to get the price down. IIRC the nice version was around $120, and one of the simpler ones was $80
