Prices - damnit458 - 07-15-2005 I know I should call and find this out, but im at work, and impatient  I was curious as to how much an alignment usually costs, and also how much it usually costs to have tires mounted/balenced (I think I remember people saying costco did this?) I have a friend at a Honda dealership who said I could have all that done for $50. Good price? - Mike - 07-15-2005 mounting + balance alone is usually more than 50. alignment is usually 75-100. - damnit458 - 07-15-2005 gotta love having a friend that works at rosenthal honda - Evan - 07-15-2005 hondas are "toe and go" and shouldnt be much anyway. and if your car doesnt need an alignment, you are wasting your money even if its only $50 - damnit458 - 07-15-2005 Evan Wrote:hondas are "toe and go" and shouldnt be much anyway. My car needs an alignment badly, so thats not a worry. - CaptainHenreh - 07-18-2005 I ballpark 10 bucks a tire for mounting and balancing. I go to Big-L tire out on Main. They do a great job, and use stick-on weights on the inside of the wheel instead of those ugly-ass crimp on things. I know you're not in the 'burg, so I suggest you call around, and ask what the cost is for a mount and balance for four tires. - .RJ - 07-18-2005 Finding someone to mount and balance track tires in NoVa is a huge pain in my ass. - damnit458 - 07-18-2005 .RJ Wrote:Finding someone to mount and balance track tires in NoVa is a huge pain in my ass. Is it really that bad? Even w/$10 per tire, $50 for mounting/balance/alignment seems like a good deal. When I get them (should be when I get back from Japan) I think Im going to have to take him up on that offer - .RJ - 07-18-2005 No one wants to mount track tires because they dont have enough (or any) tread on them. - Mike - 07-18-2005 You'll be hard-pressed to find mount/balance in NoVA for $50. I know a guy and it still costs me $60. - .RJ - 07-18-2005 I know someone and it cost me $20... but I am not sure how often I can (ab)use that. - Sijray21 - 07-18-2005 it's too bad mike doesn't work at merchants anymore, i got mine for free i'll talk to my local guy, he's been handling our cars for a while, and usually mounts/balances tires (on the car or not) for $15-$20/set I've had alignments cost $70-$105 - higher end being camber as well for the civic. - mpg9999 - 07-18-2005 theguywiththeSi Wrote:it's too bad mike doesn't work at merchants anymore, i got mine for free I can actually still do it (There are a few different places where I *think* they will let me use there stuff. I know of at least one I can use for sure). If I where back in NOVA I'd hook you guys up. I have been thinking about doing my own alignments too. |
