The big difference is that it's a clean car with no previous damage and the car is in great shape. And for what it's worth, the E36 M3 pull a super premium at auction, even ones that are beat to shit.
But yeah...I just thought someone might want this one. Fersty?

Before I got the 528i I was going to try and pick up a 99 M3 we saw on the pre-auction list. When we went up and checked out the car, we found the car in very poor condition and had 99k miles. I was still interested, but when the bidding started at 17k and finished above $20k, I was not a buyer.

That's silly. I suggest you start going to private parties instead of auction, becuse there are much better deal out there.

I'm no longer in day to day operations, so I could care less. Yeah...when I bought my acura private party, I was able to drive it for 9 months and then sell it for $400 over what I bought it.

I agree...but I was just spotting a car of interest. It's like the CLK430 was made from 99 to 2002 in the same bodystyle, 99 with mid miles $20,000 easy...02 with good miles $35 to $37
