woo hoo. - lillitnn92 - 06-29-2005 okay, i came up with a little ditty other day. it sparked some interest in trying to complete a song for once. this is just my structuring phase. i'm trying to get things recorded where i want and how i want. plus coming up with the drum programming and all the where and when on the drum fills. at 1:30 into the song, it goes off into never land. i just played a few licks after that point to keep momentum so it wouldn't sound like a sudden stop. you know, "follow through" . once i've got all the part s played out i will go back and do a cleaner recording and try to get levels on everything right. i just thought i'd share because this has a nice catchy flavor to me. so here it is, nowhere completed of course. http://66.199.224.135/uploads/5558_rancidlike.mp3 *edit* it will be longer than that. - lillitnn92 - 06-29-2005 might have been bad link, so i fixed. - bassmangrammy - 06-29-2005 Werd...what'd you use to record that? - lillitnn92 - 06-29-2005 my program i had told you about in PM. FL Studio Producer's Edition. guitars and bass were recorded direct. no mics yet ![]() it's very beginning stages. just coming up with licks and stuff. everything was built around that first guitar part in the beginning. i've got to get some good solid tone down before i go in and re-record all the guitar parts. i'm playing too much with EQ now to get it close to what i want. i'm recording everything dry though, so i can add whatever effect i want though. always had a problem remembering to do that before and would end up trashing everything because it was unworkable afterwards. |
