Next time? I'll pay for it to get done. That was a fucking PITA. - Evan - 06-10-2005 want to help with my engine swap? - .RJ - 06-10-2005 Mike Wrote:"2 hours" Well i was thinking more like 4 max...... guess that didnt work out too well. - Mike - 06-10-2005 Didn't work out too well at all. I almost stall at every light what's the new clutch that's in the car now? - .RJ - 06-10-2005 Exedy clutch and 8 (?) lb flywheel. I put $20 on mike not adjusting the engagement point and burning up the clutch disk in 6 months A bitch of a job, but we were working against some limitations - car was not high enough for one, the lighting sucked (er, no lighting), just hand tools, my garage floor was absolutely filthy (i didnt know this until last night) and of course the fact that the 2 of us were working on it and mike hadn't done a clutch job before and it had been a while for me. Either way I'm glad we got it taken care of This clutch feels so much nicer than the uber-grab(ass) thing that came with the car. - Mike - 06-10-2005 i'm stalling all over the place, i've gotta adjust that thing. new flywheel has to be half the weight of the old one. revs more quikcly in neutral and it seems to drop revs much faster between shifts too. - white_2kgt - 06-10-2005 If you guys want to use the garage it's no problem. I have people over all the time. I usually charge them though . I'm sure we can work out something for you MMers . Evan, if you can swap your engines in a long weekend you are more than welcome. You're going to have to do it from the bottom as I don't have a hoist. Just make sure you give me some lead time, I'm already booked up this month with weekends and the few evenings I allow people over. I'm usually booked 3+ weeks in advance. --chad - .RJ - 06-10-2005 No wonder you can buy all the cobra bling for your ride - white_2kgt - 06-10-2005 .RJ Wrote:No wonder you can buy all the cobra bling for your ride chaching! you didn't think lockheed paid good did you, haha --chad |
