Shakespeare Free for all - damnit458 - 06-01-2005 This was alluded to in the ballgame thread. The shakespeare theatre company is putting on a free play (A Midsummer Night's Dream) at the carter barron amphitheatre (spelling =-0) at rockridge(?) park. I went with a few people I work with yesterday after work, and it was well worth the time. I had a great time, and the play was very well put together (it helps that it was also a beautiful night. Anyway, its a great place to go and eat dinner at, and then do something fun the rest of the night (AND ITS FREE  ). http://www.shakespearetheatre.org/ffa2005.html for more info I highly suggest it. If you do decide to go, they start seating ppl at 7:10 (as stated in the link) but lines form about half an hour before hand. It still wasnt hard to get good seats, but just incase you want to be as close as possible. It lasts about three hours (we got out at 10:30). - WRXtranceformed - 06-01-2005 Shakespeare sounds about as fun as masturbating with broken glass. - damnit458 - 06-01-2005 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Shakespeare sounds about as fun as masturbating with broken glass. Normally I would chime in and defend you on an ignorant comment such as this one, but this time your on your own. Apparently the rest of you feel the same way as he does as you all have been reading this thread and not saying anything. I guess I was wrong in thinking that some people would actually find this interesting. - WRXtranceformed - 06-01-2005 I'm just fucking with you Keith =p I went to an opera two years ago for a class and actually enjoyed it. I have a pretty good appreciation for the fine arts... I'm just so far above the crowd that's REALLY into it. Sort of like NASCAR. If I went to a race, I'd feel out of place. - damnit458 - 06-01-2005 WRXtranceformed Wrote:I'm just fucking with you Keith =p Pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I got nothin. Im actually surprised as hell you've been to an opera. Learn somethin new every day. - Maengelito - 06-01-2005 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Shakespeare sounds about as fun as masturbating with broken glass. where do i sign up? fyi, staunton has a shakespearean theater that has plays all the time which gets good reviews. i'd like to hit it up once, but i never hear of the plays until after they've already been on. - KPWSerpiente - 06-01-2005 MSND is a good play. -T - CaptainHenreh - 06-01-2005 Hamlet's my favorite. How cliche'. MSND is a close second, followed by the Tempest, and then some of the Henry's. - Myuki - 06-01-2005 I actually enjoy Much Ado About Nothing. I just like the witty comedy. - damnit458 - 06-02-2005 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Hamlet's my favorite. How cliche'.
