Sean Schutte/Eivel Kneivel tryouts, part 1 - ScottyB - 05-11-2005

well, i was cleaning out my apartment today to move out, and had to do something about my vintage 1992 Raleigh M50 mountain bike. my once proud steed was riden to and from class for years with 9 out of 21 speeds working, no rear brakes, rusted chain and disintegrating handlegrips until the front tire popped and i decided it was a loss.

selling it was a no go, since it was old and dangerous. putting it out to sit by the dumpster was also out of the question because it was just too lame to let it go like that. but there was a drainage basin behind my apartment, and i just so happened to have a leftover smoke bomb, and i was bored....so in typical MM tradition, my solution involved fire, busted piles, and jumping stuff.

keep in mind im riding this thing with a totally flat front tire.

in preparation....

I like how you are pushing the back end of the bike underwater to make the gas bomb go out, pretty funny.

At least you didnt have clip-in pedals, so that when you do a high-sidaarruuuuu the bike doesnt follow you over the handlebars and fall on you after you've busted your lid.... not that i know anything about that.
