Sealed hood so it can only be opened by a mechanic when it needs to be serviced ROFL They didnt even need to tell us that its a car "designed by women for women" im sure we would have all figured it out. - BLINGMW - 03-15-2004 Yeah, I saw another article about that, and the car would also contact the dealer when anything went wrong so some shmoe from the dealership could call the woman and tell her to bring in the car. They WANT the dealer to be in control of when the car should come in? Who wants to guess what the dealership would be doing on a slow day? "uh, lady, your car called and said it had a flimmerstat failure, better bring it in. New one's gonna run ya $300 plus labor. And the engine's gotta come out for that of course." "oh... well... ok. I don't want to be stranded! Thank you!" "oh, and don't forget that additional $50 bonnet opening charge." - DierwulfBL - 03-15-2004 BLINGMW Wrote:"oh, and don't forget that additional $50 bonnet opening charge." ROFL omg thats a good one.....thats so true, theyd definitely slap a bonnet opening charge on it HAHAHHAHAA - LorenaBeana - 03-16-2004 As a female, this article embarrasses me. - BLINGMW - 03-16-2004 it should! Here's that other article by the way, it's even worse. It's not like women don't already play a part in car design, certianly all cars today incorporate features to please both sexes. They should have specified that this one was designed by cocktail waitresses. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3528757.stm - Chris - 03-16-2004 BLINGMW Wrote:it should! They should have specified that this one was designed by cocktail waitresses. Heres the part I like best... "Honestly, the only time I open the bonnet on my car is when I want to fill up washer fluid," said Tatiana Butovitsch Temm. "Do we need to have a one metre square hatch for that or could we do it in another way? "So we shifted the filling station for washer fluid to the side of the car, next to where you fill up fuel, and we closed the bonnet for good." I forsee this causing TONS of mistakes... Washer fluid in a gas tank or vise versa could be bad...I mean its bad enough when my mom told me she saw some woman in a SUV drive away from a gas pump with the nozzle still in the car and it ripped the whole hose off the pump!! - Mike - 03-16-2004 Chris Wrote:I mean its bad enough when my mom told me she saw some woman in a SUV drive away from a gas pump with the nozzle still in the car and it ripped the whole hose off the pump!! Hehe funny stuff, I have yet to ever see it happen but the hoses are made to detach with a certain amount of force applied. - Dave - 03-16-2004 heh, do it and you get to buy one! ![]() As you can imagine, I have seen several get torn off, quite a sight I must say. - BLINGMW - 03-16-2004 hehe good point, I didn't even think of them mistakingly mixing the two up. I'm sure the dealer would love the extra service though! What seems off about it though... if a person can figure out how to fill washer fluid, that means they have the capability to check said washer fluid. Is checking oil, coolant, brake fluid and such really any different? Are those SO much harder? I just can't understand people that refuse to learn even the very basics about their cars. Why would they want to make themselves extra powerless and vulnerable slaves to the service station? |
