RX-7 R1 - bassmangrammy - 03-24-2005 We've got a 93 RX-7 R1 with 19k miles. I've got someone coming to buy it in the morning, but if that falls through (or if someone can get me a deposit first) it's available. Extensive mods, including roll-bar. $23500 Call me ASAP at (540) 820-6007 anytime tonight if you want it. - Rex4life - 03-24-2005 {drool} i wish  - ScottyB - 03-24-2005 saw it when i was driving by today. freakin gorgeous car. i wish i was 20 years older right now so i could buy it! - .RJ - 03-24-2005 sheeeeeeeeeeit - bluhayz - 03-25-2005 If it falls through, can I test drive it for.... a weekend? :-) - Chris - 03-25-2005 .RJ Wrote:sheeeeeeeeeeit as soon as I saw it I thought you should look into it RJ... its beautiful, suede seats, roll bar, perfect condition. - bassmangrammy - 03-29-2005 Chris Wrote:.RJ Wrote:sheeeeeeeeeeit RJ Special Deal avaiable...PM for the $. - .RJ - 03-29-2005 Unless the special deal is $10k i cant afford it ![]() - JackoliciousLegs - 03-29-2005 yeah, i checked it out today. it's def been tracked. I'd be very hesitant to buy a tracked 3rd gen. whatever. I wouldn't buy any 3rd gen as a DD anyways... so why not. :-) Very expensive. Miles don't matter because at this age, the motors blow regardless of miles. My friend's blew at 30k 2 years ago. He was an ASC certified tech. - Rex4life - 03-29-2005 b00st is good but can you argue with 170k and 21 years old? - BLAIR - 03-31-2005 19k so does that mean its on its 2nd motor now or the original is about to blow anyday??? hahahahah - rotorsownyou7 - 03-31-2005 Motors don't blow that often, I am only on my 2nd motor. - Ryan T - 04-01-2005 rotorsownyou7 Wrote:Motors don't blow that often, I am only on my 2nd motor. and you've got what...50k miles? ![]() - Rex4life - 04-01-2005 i thought fd's were good for atleast 100k - rotorsownyou7 - 04-01-2005 Ryan T Wrote:rotorsownyou7 Wrote:Motors don't blow that often, I am only on my 2nd motor. NOOOO! 72K, haha. But it didn't blow till 71K on the first engine. - rotorsownyou7 - 04-01-2005 Rex4life Wrote:i thought fd's were good for atleast 100k They are if they don't get heavily modded and are taken care of, people just love turning up that boost controller. - JackoliciousLegs - 04-01-2005 FDs are not good for 100k... normally. Greg's got 82k on his and it's showing serious signs of wear. VERY RARELY will they get this many miles. Most are in the 50-70k range when they asplode. Of course racing your R1 w/o being VERY cautious about the cooling and controlling your boost when you've modified the air flow system can be quite dangerous. As far as that R1 goes, I'd definitely speak to the owner before buying that thing. It looks fully race prepped but I don't know exactly what was done to keep it cool and keep that boost in check... It could be dying right now. - Chris - 04-01-2005 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:It looks fully race prepped all I saw were better tires and a roll bar... its probably only seen a minimum number of events. - Feersty - 04-01-2005 Damn this talk ain't gonna help sell the car at all. - .RJ - 04-01-2005 Chris Wrote:all I saw were better tires and a roll bar... its probably only seen a minimum number of events. Its easy to remove bolt ons. There's really no way to tell how much track time the car has. |
