Holy Chrome batman!! - Sijray21 - 03-17-2005 ![]() rofl! - .RJ - 03-17-2005 The ultimate bling  - JackoliciousLegs - 03-17-2005 I wouldn't mind driving that w/o the body kit :-) - Nis01 - 03-17-2005 hock: Interesting...
- WRXtranceformed - 03-17-2005 Apparently that paint job cost more than the car. From what I read on it, the guy who owns the car had a special machine shipped over from Europe to do the chrome painting. Apparently it's much more complicated than just applying chrome paint to get a paint job like that. I bet it sure ain't street legal, but DAYAM what a panty dropper that thing is ! - Mike - 03-17-2005 rice, g, and i saw a benzo with the same dealie at jgtc. my gallery is f'd (host side), but it's in there somewhere. - JackoliciousLegs - 03-18-2005 didn't they also say it added an outrageous amount of weight? - Mike - 03-18-2005 i'm thinking someone who chromes their entire car doesn't much car about the added weight. - KPWSerpiente - 03-18-2005 It's paint. It isn't chrome per se. So no...it doesn't make it any heavier. There is an insane amount of money put into that car...I remember reading about it a long time ago when the guy first put pictures up on a bmw forum after having it painted like that. -T - Mike - 03-18-2005 - WRXtranceformed - 03-18-2005 Man it would SUCK to get a scratch in that paint job ! - Myuki - 03-21-2005 wouldn't be able to see a scratch will all the shine 8) - ScottyB - 03-21-2005 it would be pretty weird to finish washing your car, and instead of using carnuba wax, you'd bust out the chrome polish....for the whole car - Ryan T - 03-21-2005 I read some shit about this all chrome mercedes a while back and aparently they have two guys that stay with it during photoshoots with special brushes to keep in clean. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.germancarfans.com/news.cfm/n ... enz/1.html - MpoweredM - 09-19-2005 Ahhh, yes. The chrome M3. He lives in Canada. He also owns the new Ferrari F430. INSANE!! - HAULN-SS - 09-20-2005 Why do they have to paint it? They could strip all the old paint off, take the fenders off and dip them, just like you'd chrome anything else...takes about 5 minutes to chrome a whole fender if you've got the right setup - Sijray21 - 09-20-2005 MpoweredM Wrote:He also owns the new Ferrari F430. INSANE!! ugh....i want to live his life - MpoweredM - 09-20-2005 ![]() ![]() ![]() And not sure if this will hotlink.. yeah, it has some go too... This is next for me too! - MpoweredM - 09-20-2005 - Nis01 - 09-20-2005 *Ponders* I sure wouldn't want my chrome M3 getting wet... guess I'll just put the Ferrari outside... what a life. |
