AHHH@ @$%#@!!! Q#$%*! - PDenbigh - 02-15-2005 Ok, I feel better. Just needed to vent. We need an emoicon representing :pulling out hair: Who else is scrounging for last minute shit to get thir pile running for VIR?! - Myuki - 02-15-2005 no, just struggling to actually get decent grades on work, but the feeling is still there... - white_2kgt - 02-15-2005 oh god, what did you do now? --chad - JohnC - 02-15-2005 As of 9:00 pm tonight, my car wouldn't run at all. After replacing a coil pack connector (thank god I have spares) and retorquing the balance tube bolts to fix a vacuum leak, shes running again. All as a result of me doing a compression test tonight - got some decent numbers though: Z32 TT Spec 128-171psi, Max diff 14psi. 1 - 159 2 - 151 3 - 147 4 - 149 5 - 148 6 - 145 Those results are a decent indicator of a solid engine. Especially one with ~130-150k miles on it Cylinder 6 is always the problem child on these engines, the result of a flawed manufacturing process that produced partially obstructed coolant passages in that area of the block - I'm happy that #6 on my engine is still within spec, though barely If (well, when) this engine comes out of the car, I'll be cleaning out the flashing in those coolant passages. Anyhow...
- Dave - 02-15-2005 gave up on installing the brake master cylinder tonight, just won't happen without a miracle. Car still stops like a mofo tonight everything is tightened down, will put on new brake pads tomorrow still haven't fabbed up a new hard line for the rear brake, so I'll be taking care of that tomorrow as well. would be nice to get some kind of speaker setup in the car so I can listen to some tunes on the way, but looking like that won't happen either. I feel you Pete, although it is probably nowhere near your state. |
