- Feersty - 02-07-2005

If your OEM tire size is 195/75R14 can you go to 225/45R17??

- Maengelito - 02-07-2005

Feersty, if you go buy some 17 inch wheels, I am almost certain that they will fit. But no, you cannot put a 17" tire on a 14" wheel and drive it around with any success.

And I can't think of any stock GM car except for the corvette and camero (which would have horridly wrong offsets) that came with 17" wheels stock.

Doesn't mean there wasn't one, just means I can't think of one.

I am not an idiot dog, I know that you can't put a 17" inch tire on a 14" wheel. I have been looking at some 17" inch wheels for $7xx for a tire/wheel set.

i'm gonna go ahead and say that spending money to put 17's on your buick will be one of the worst moves of your automotive life.

no offense man, but seriously. you do plan on owning another car when you get out of college, right? put money into something like that.

yup

Hrm... those would fit the new rims I'm ordering, but I had planned to wrap them in new PZero Nero M+S's. I dunno that's a good price though.

I wish my stock tires were half as decent as yours for street driving. Oh well.

buy maeng's and burn those up and then get new tires

I wish I could afford that mentality.

Brian how is the traction on those in wet weather from your experience ? I remember reading reviews on those on tire rack I think, but I'm too lazy to search it up again. Is the wear pretty even on them too ? Buying these would make my rim / tire upgrade MUCH more feasible by mid-April. And yeah, good advice Chris, I could always burn them up this year then wrap a new set next spring

I didn't think so, but your post didn't make any sense. Anyway, for 700 bucks and some change, you could probably find another car to goof around with.

Don't put 17's on your buick.
