Anybody know a shop down here that could.... - deeseetoo - 01-31-2005 replace 2 axles and install a catalytic convertor for me? I need to fix these before I could pass inspection. thanks - JohnC - 01-31-2005 I nominate Dave and Pete
- .RJ - 01-31-2005 Take it to Neil Maddox - he's on the north end of town, up main st just past the NAPA dealer on the left. You might mistake his shop for a junkyard but the (old faded) sign says 'Foreign car service' on the front. Its rather small... head up there tell him Ryan sent you.PM me and I can give you his phone #. - deeseetoo - 01-31-2005 mongooze Wrote:I nominate Dave and Pete I wouldn't want to call on the services of anybody without a shop, it is hell working on cars right now in this weather - deeseetoo - 01-31-2005 .RJ Wrote:Take it to Neil Maddox - he's on the north end of town, up main st just past the NAPA dealer on the left. His nicknames are Nitro and Mad Dog if that's any indication. - .RJ - 02-02-2005 Tell him I told him his purple RX7 is a shitbox. That's usually good to get him riled up
- deeseetoo - 02-03-2005 lol, this is gonna be interesting - JackoliciousLegs - 02-03-2005 .RJ Wrote:Tell him I told him his purple RX7 is a shitbox. That's usually good to get him riled up:lol: - deeseetoo - 02-09-2005 I gotta vent... I have court this friday for an expired safety inspection and no front license plate. I have my plate on there now, but no safety inspection due to having no catalytic convertor. So i'm going to foreign auto service to get a catalytic installed, but when I get there they refer me to this place Bill's muffler three blocks up on Main St.. I'm heading over to Bill's and in the parking lot of the damn shop a Ford Explorer cop pulls me over. I explain to him I am going to get my inspection sticker done, and I am in the parking lot of the place which is about to do the work on my car to pass it. During this time two different cop cars come in and hang around for some reason. Anyway he says he is letting the inspection go, but he is going to give me a ticket for expired license plates. expired plates! wtf! yea they expired in January 2005. I get the cat. put on for $30 and I start to go to inspection places. The first three I go to say they are too busy to inspect today (yea right, there were basically no cars in there). So i decide to head to the DMV to get my tags cleared up. On the way to the DMV a regular crown vic. cop pulls me over. He asks me why my plates are expired, and I tell him I'm going to the DMV and getting the car inspected and I have a ticket from a police officer who pulled me over about an hour ago. Then I realize this is the same guy who came into the parking lot the first time I got pulled over. So he leaves me with a ticket for having no safety inspection. I go to the DMV, plates are clear I go to the place which tows cars from Ashby called KAR towing to get my safety inspection. I think i'm set, but my car comes out with a rejection sticker. I can't have an air-freshner hanging from the rear view mirror, my coilovers have no "play" because they are on the lowest collar, and I have a bad tie rod end supposedly. I shouldn't have even left the apartment today. *the best part of my day was when I was in the lobby of Bill's Muffler and some guy offered me 18" rims for my car. The deal was $300 + my stock rims  - ScottyB - 02-09-2005 wow dude that's horrendous. go have a beer or 5, ha. i can't wait to get out of this town bc of bullshit like this - lyltoy - 02-09-2005 ScottyB Wrote:wow dude that's horrendous. go have a beer or 5, ha. i'll second that... - JackoliciousLegs - 02-09-2005 omg dude. that's HORRENDOUS... fucking boner boys have nothing better to do. That sucks man. They failed you for an air freshener. Go to shenendoah auto for an inspection. I was fixing the fog lights as it was getting inspected.... and they passed it. - Feersty - 02-09-2005 deeseetoo Wrote:*the best part of my day was when I was in the lobby of Bill's Muffler and some guy offered me 18" rims for my car. I still don't have anyclue how a tie rod went bad so quickly, the chasis only has around 50k miles on it - deeseetoo - 02-09-2005 Feersty Wrote:deeseetoo Wrote:*the best part of my day was when I was in the lobby of Bill's Muffler and some guy offered me 18" rims for my car.
